    The other thing to check with the CAB/solicitor etc. is inheritance rules. When dad (or uncle) passes on - who gets their share of the house if they haven't left a will? Then think about whether it might be better to advise dad to write one... Of course, if both go then OP might end up with the whole house and the lodgers but that's presumably not what he's hoping for :eek:
    I need to think of something new here...
