    Label the little 'uns favourite bear/dolly with an iron-on tag, and write your phone number on it in waterproof pen. That way when their best friend goes walkabout, some kind person can return them safe and sound.

    put old or odd socks too good use, wear as if a mitten, run your 'mittened' hand along your Venetian blinds. use dry for dust or damp for dirt!

    Comb olive oil though your hair and pop on a shower cap from saved from a hotel (or buy cheap ones) and wear over night! or in the bath or shower (less laughter).Shampoo off in morning or later and have shiney soft hair.

    I cut old tights into strips and use as ties in the garden, much better than string.

    To enlarge Squeaky's tip a little - an old plastic ruler is good to scrape flour off your baking worktop. Dishcloths with flour in are a pain to get clean

    I use a big paint brush specifically for dusting the worktops, straight into the dustpan/bin/ back in the flour bag :eek: :D
    When life hands you a lemon, make sure you ask for tequilla and salt ;)

    Don't buy shaving cream/lotion for your legs - conditioner works just as well and softens up the skin too.
  • A film canister makes a perfect short spaghetti /linguine measure. It holds enough for 2 portions
