I've put a message about this "somewhere else" in these Forums, but it goes just as well here. I applied for a Treat (Pedicure or Reflexology) as soon as I got the leaflet. My so-called Treat turned out to be a Fun Day Out - no use to me whatever. I e-mailed Nectar to enquire what percentage of applicants did get their first or second choice but reply was useless also. What a con. Has anyone had their choice??
  • I too have just applied for a manicure or facial and have been offered a 'treat' of a fun day out in London - best offer the Thames Barrier Visitor Centre (normal entry is only £3.40 or £2 concessions), which has had some pretty dismal ratings on the 'visitor attraction' sites. Real let-down.

I've just done so. If enough people contact her, perhaps she might feel it's worth asking Nectar a few questions!

I applied on line for my free "treat" the day my new card arrived. You need your new card as you have to input the number on it. 2 days later I got an email saying there were no beauty treatments left (despite there being a choice of several in their offer) but I could have a free day out a fun park. Despite sending 2 emails saying I didnt want a day out and that I would be referring the matter to the Trading Standards Office I have received no reply. Days out at theme parks can be picked up for free everywhere and have been for the last few years. Did anyone else only get offered the theme park day?

I was so cross I found this forum! Was quite surprised to see that someone (the person who got the gym pass they didn't want) actually got something other than the 'day out', which seems to be the standard offer whatever you ask for. I suspect it's not a matter of the other things being so 'popular', as of their never having been available in the first place (or perhaps there was one free golf round and one free golf lesson, etd). I did get a reply when I emailed them but it was a system one and they told me not to reply to it, but instead to spend money phoning an 0844 number. No thank you. What a waste of time. I am delighted that so many others have been antagonised by this rubbish. 'Fantastic treat' indeed. Have told Sainsburys how deeply unimpressed I am. I suppose Nectar's get-out will be that they didn't entice anyone to spend money to acquire this terrific treat, but they reckoned without the anger factor I think. Who wants to feel conned?!

I applied about an hour ago for my free treat, I wanted a back massage or facial. OH YES I GOT MY VOUCHER, for a free day out. NO USE TO ME WHAT SO EVER. I looked on Nectars website, but no way of contacting them at this time of night. I think having read all the other failure stories, I shall give the voucher to my puppy to pee on................................

Free day out for me too- very disappointed. Plus the free day out is only for ONE PERSON!! Not much good for families.
