Nectar "Treats"

  • Just received this email from Nectar:

    Hello!

Your Nectar treat voucher is attached.
We have been experiencing some problems in sending free treats to Hotmail accounts, but now that's fixed, we’re resending to all Hotmail users. If you’ve already received your free treat then don't worry, but if this has just arrived for the first time, apologies for the delay and we hope you enjoy your free treat.
Unfortunately, due to the popularity of the free treats offer there are some instances where we have not been able to give customers their preferred treat. This is not a result of the Hotmail problems as treats are allocated when the request was originally received. We've done our best to find you an alternative free treat that we hope you enjoy.
To enjoy your free treat simply print off the voucher attached to this email and follow the step by step instructions. Remember that you have until 30th August 2008 to use your free treat.
    Enjoy!
I applied as soon as I got my new card. I wanted a facial. The attachement won't open. Having read everyone else's experiences, I am sure it's probably something I don't want. I have noticed in the past that any Sainsbury/Nectar promotion that promises 'lost of prizes' usually only end up as passes to places that are far away.

Is there a link to a list of venues for the treats?
    Thanks.

I'm glad it's not just me that can't find this . I seem to have a generic voucher - no idea if it's for a sports massage or not. I've followed their instructions but that only takes me back to the ordering the treat in the 1st place......

At the risk of sounding like Wogan, 'is it me'?????? :o
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Me too ! Am I thick or what ? Help please !
  • Same problem as everybody else (offered a Day Out when I wanted a Foot Massage).

I have e-mailed Sainsbury's (the only place that I use my Netar Card) and complained, perhaps they will bring pressure to bear!

  • I would like to share some good news re the offer.

I have not used the freebie forum for a age, whilst browsing I found this thread. Figured what have I got to lose, found my nectar card and applied. I didnt know what to pick spent ages umming and erring about it.....

I finally settled on a session with a personal trainer, (I have recently begun to lose some weight) and lo and behold I have recieved a voucher for a session with a personal trainer in the town I live!

How happy and surprised am I.
  • I applied for my "treat" back in September. I wanted one of the beauty treats but unsurprisingly what I got was a day out voucher.

As someone has already mentioned this is a voucher for ONE person. How many people go out alone? These are just promotional vouchers - usually offered free - venues know that by giving one person free entry they are likely to get income from the accompanying party. Not really much of a treat IMO.

Mine says that you can call them if you think its unsuitable - has anyone done this?
  • I got my new card throught the post on monday and applied for a family portrait as my treat - & I actually got what I wanted so really pleased! Me my hubby & 10-month old daughter will be having a photo shoot & free picture just before Christmas :) Sorry so many people have been disappointed by this offer but looking on the bright side - at least you aren't having to pay anything....

  • If you realy want a pamper treat that much then why don't you pay for it.

  • Why email Sains??? What can they do about it! They're not Nectar! Have any of you read the terms and conditions for the Treat!!!
