Nectar "Treats"

I applied on line for my free "treat" the day my new card arrived. You need your new card as you have to input the number on it. 2 days later I got an email saying there were no beauty treatments left (despite there being a choice of several in their offer) but I could have a free day out a fun park. Despite sending 2 emails saying I didnt want a day out and that I would be referring the matter to the Trading Standards Office I have received no reply. Days out at theme parks can be picked up for free everywhere and have been for the last few years. Did anyone else only get offered the theme park day?

  • Yes I did as well, I was so cross that I emailed them and said it was a con, they never replied to me.

  • I think you should lodge an official complaint with Trading Standards - customers need to assert their rights on a regular basis to avoid this sort of nonsense which is all too common.

Does MSE have any channel for facilitating such complaints?

'Treats dont know much, they dont know when the last time they got a stock of vouchers in or know when they will get the next lot, although keep advising me to ring back so it generates money for them, the only ones getting 'treated' are them

When I tried to use mine for an adventure day out
It told me I had already used it for a beauty treatment

My letter to nectar! What a rip off!!!!!!! i asked for a massage, or 2nd choice tanning session. But any beauty freebie would have done me nicely!

Please take this treat back. I do not wish to appear ungrateful, but there is a great difference in every way possible between a back massage (or 2nd choice, a Tanning session) and a stadium tour! I would hate to take a treat from someone who may in fact want this but cannot get it as it has been allocated to me.

I would have been more than willing to accept any of the other similar beauty treats.

Prior to hosting such fantastic freebies, you may have considered the fact that many treats would be more popular than others.

I am very very disappointed that you think this an appropriate replacement for a beaty treatment! Thanks but no thanks!

I suspect a great many customers will be delighted with this offer, however a great many will, like me be disappointed.

    Kind regards,

    Marion

I've just checked my voucher and thats for a free Day Out too:mad: I wanted an Indian Head Massage!!!!

Even when I tried to find out how to book the venue it doesn't come up with a list of places - I thought I may take DS to a stadium but I REALLY wanted an Indian Head Massage:mad:

I asked for the Indian Head Massage, with second choice of a manicure.... got a day out pass! Whoopee (not)... sent a reply email back implying that I thought this was a big con, and got an automated response back.... disappointed.

mumoftwins - that's so spooky... my name on other forums is mumoftwins, and when I saw your post I thought "I don't remember writing that" - virtually the same deal too!
  • Sounds about right.

I applied for my treat weeks ago, even before it was advertised on MSE. I asked for a massage but all I got back was an email to say that my treat wasn't available and gave me a voucher for a theme park. I emailed back to say I wasn't happy but didn't hear a thing.

I've now cut up my Nectar card and chucked it in the bin.

    Stuff them
