It took me 9 months to get my head around being pregnant, and 18 years to get my head around being a mum!
I have pcos, diagnosed at 40... I argued with the consultant as I have always been very fertile!
One of my neighbours is a personal trainer/dietician, her daughter was diagnosed with pcos 6 months ago. She was telling me that the worst form of exercise is to run (I ran daily until I was 40 and damaged my back) as this raises some chemical in the body which makes us store fat around out tummies. Apparently the best thing to do is to walk and to do light weight training.
I am managing walking....:D:D

Really pleased for you Mary Hinge though I can understand how you feel.
Feeling rubbish all day today as the cold that has been threatening to come came with a vengeance...didn’t help that I had to leave swimming yesterday without drying my hair as son was in a mad panic to borrow the car as his wouldn’t start.
Had cereal for breakfast - joedenise my consultant also said to alter my heb but to be honest I felt so rubbish I couldn’t be asked to think about it, though I did measure out some porridge for the week - & had lamb chops for dinner with butternut squash & runner beans, beautifully cooked by hubby.
Didn’t fancy any tea so had a mugshot & a hifi bar - not really nutritious but I don’t feel like eating and if I did I think I’d want carp so I’m not going down that road. I did have a vodka so I think that’s about 8 syns for the day.
If I feel this bad I’ll have to cancel the gym consultation tomorrow which is a pity as I’d got my head mentally to go for a change!0 -
Mrs_R, I feel your pain re your team. Fab result today btw, maman, hope you enjoyed MOTD.
It’s a horrible situation, TIE. I was there many a time. Thing is there just aren’t enough appropriate placements for these children – and often councils just stick them back where it wasn’t working to keep the parents happy – by that I mean the child is in ‘education’ – and the school is left to cope as best it can. I’m glad your daughter has had her needs addressed at last, Nicki. She is very lucky.
Well done, Sunshine and tweets.
Congratulations, mary.
Hope you feel better soon, gts. How are you doing, beanie?
Well it’s been a greedy day today, that’s the only way to describe it.
Breakfast: hexb porridge made with salt and water, 40ml ss milk (I measured it – actually 39ml).
Snack: Lidl fake mini mars (5)
Lunch: roll (6), chicken, basil mayo (2), tomatoes, banana, clementine
Snack: chocolate ginger (4)
Dinner: roast beef, SW roasties, carrots, onions, Brussels sprouts, toty Yorkshire pudding (2), gravy (1), L&F raspberry yogurt
Snack: hexa cheese & grapes

That's right, topgirl is expecting topbaby and she's done brilliantly so far. I think it helps that as you can't have alcohol you have syns available for other treats. She could well post tomorrow.
Think I'm all caught up, and the spreadsheet is up to date.
Congratulations Mary.
You so need to get pregnant Maman with the amount of syns you use of Gin :rotfl:
Hospital wasn't great on Friday, but didn't blow my syns too much. Weekend away was not too bad syn wise.
Probably over on my syns, but hopefully I can get away with it.
Today's plan:
Breakfast - porridge and fruit
Lunch - noodles
Dinner - spag bol
HA - milk and cheese
HB - oats
Syns - miso (0.5)Zebras rock0 -

:p:p Charming!! It's amazing how you can go off people!:rotfl:
I've totted it up and I have 18 syns to last 3 days. That's not a problem for me at all on weekdays.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB toast, 2 fried eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, HEA milk for drinks
L: liver, fried veg, LO HB gravybaked salmon, SW chips, asparagus, broccoli, peas, tomatoes, mushrooms
Syns: xtra bread 2.50 -
Congratulations Mary and well done to all the losers.
A STS for me this week.
I must try to cut back the syns for the next week or two - obvious place to start is the Friday night alcoholI'm probably going way over my HEA milk with the amount of tea I drink, I must start watching that too.
Hope everyone has a good week0 -

I measure out my allowed milk in to a separate little bottle in the fridge to help me keep an eye on how much I use, and you don't have the hassle of measuring every time you get a drinkZebras rock0 -
Had a lovely but unexpected off plan weekend.
2.5 hours in the cold on Friday Evening waiting for Santa resulted in a chinese take away on the way home. Then daughters chaotic all day dance rehearsals had me reaching for chocolate fixes yesterday.
Managed to lose -1.5 lbs so hope it doesn't catch up with me this week.
Freezing here this morning. I did the grocery shop today after the school run. Ignored the call of the fresh crusty bread but compromised with a tin of tomato soup (guilty pleasure) with heb toast for lunch.
Dinner will be savoury mince with jp wedges, cauli, carrots and peas. Hea will be milk and it'll be 11 syns for the soup.
Congratulations Mary on your lovely baby news.0
