    Congratulations Mary Hinge! Lovely news.

I have been very very naughty this weekend - OK till last night when we were supposed to be going out for a few drinks and food with a group of friends - ended up just drinks and emotional crises, (the two undoubtedly linked) no food at all so consequently the whole house woke up early and starving. Started off fine with boiled eggs and crispbreads, and fruit, then stood for two hours in the freezing cold at an event and ended up in the first warm place we could find, a Chinese buffet restaurant, where I ate my own weight in Chinese food. I'm not going to attempt to count the syns in that lot! I did have a diet coke though....So back on it as of now. I'll try to keep the rest of the week on as low syns as possible and try a couple of speed days too to make up for the damage.

    Tomorrows menu
B Alpen and banana (working) with pear/apple as a snack mid morning
L HM soup with crispbreads + dairylea light
D Beef stew in slow cooker - shopping desperately needed tomorrow pm

How do uo make the faggots please? dh likes these
I have just put crustless quiche in the oven and doing veg for tea:D

    SW Faggots recipe below:

    500g 5% pork mince
    250g lambs liver
    2 x med onion
    3 x scan bran
    1 tsp Sage
    1 tsp Thyme
    Half tsp Salt
    1 tsp Pepper
2 x beef stock cubes (crumbled)
    1 Egg

Blitz onion and scan bran in blender until finely chopped.
Then add rest of ingredients and blitz.
Spray a frying pan, and place spoonfuls of mixture and brown then turn and brown other side.
Place all faggots into a baking tray and cover with gravy and bake in oven for 30 mins. I always add onion and mush to gravy.
    ( these freeze well too)
I always use 3 Ryvita rather than Scanbran as I don't keep them in the cupboard!!!

I also find I don't need to add the egg as the mixture is wet enough so I would only use it if the mixture is a bit dry.

I've put half in the fridge to use in the next couple of days and the other half have gone into the freezer to use next month.

CongratulationsMary Hinge. There is no reason why you shouldn't continue with SW throughout your pregnancy. Have a word with you consultant. You are allowed extra HEAs but not sure if that is during or after the birth.

    Congratulations Mary Hinge. Lovely news.

Much better day for me today though I missed lunch completely for logistical reasons.

Breakfast: fruit salad, smoked salmon and scrambled egg
    Lunch: none
Dinner: chicken breast, salad, mashed potato (7 syns)

    HEA- milk

Haven't had my HEB today so might have a piece of whole meal toast before bed.

What on earth do you use to mash your potatoes? I make mine syn free by using a beaten egg and/or natural yoghurt! You can also use a bit of stock if you've got some available.

I've been away for a few days so relying on hotel/pub foods. I was using an online syn calculator as best estimate of a pub portion of mash. I agree if I did it at home it would be much less.

None of the places I've been eating in have offered baked potatoes, rice or pasta or been willing to cook boiled potatoes to order. It's been a choice of chips or pre-prepared mash or nothing. I am on my way home tonight though so next week will be better.

Congratulations Mary . I think denise is right about carrying on with SW and extra HEAs but not just during the birth. I have visions of you chewing on a piece of cheese!:D

That's right, topgirl is expecting topbaby and she's done brilliantly so far. I think it helps that as you can't have alcohol you have syns available for other treats. She could well post tomorrow. :)

    Well done losers! :T

I missed football today as I'd agreed to St Andrews dance before they moved it for Sky. Looking forward to MOTD.

I did really well avoiding syns in the buffet. I just had lots of fruit and veg sticks. Lots of celebratory drinks in order tonight though. Will tot them up and see what's left for the rest of the week. :)

tie . I've thought for a long time that his nibs needs a different placement and suspected that school management is using exclusion to precipitate this. It's not how it should be but it's the way it is. If it stops you being attacked it's worth it IMO.:)
