Welcome Nicki, of course you can join us for moral support. We're all here to help each other.

Do you go to group, do it online or are you doing SW by yourself?

Where do you think you've messed up? It's not a sneaky Diet Coke as that is completely on plan. The only thing I can see is the sushi which you've queried as 1; have just looked it up and it's 1.5 for the salmon one and 3 for the meat one. The hash brown is 2 syns as long as it's grilled or baked or fried in Frylight.

Your choice for dinner at the hotel is rasonably good but if you don't want to use the syns for the milk & butter they'll be using in the mash then ask if you could have boiled potatoes or a jacket potato instead, again with no butter, although you could ask for butter on the side and then use it if the potatoes are a bit dry (mine was when I had one at Wetherspoons on Tuesday so used 2 syns for the pat of butter. You'd still be well within syns.

Hope this is of some help to you.

Made a mistake with what I'd lost last week! Thought I'd lost 1lb but it was actually 2lb so only needed 0.5lb to get to top end of target range and I did it - so now back in target and won't be paying again for a while (I hope!) until after my January holiday when I'll probably end up having to pay again for a couple of weeks.

Having a Red day today (for a change):

B - syn free hummous; veg sticks; banana
    L - cheese on toast (HEA1/HEB1)
D - meatzza topped with passata, onions, peppers, red & yellow peppers, mushrooms. Will have a salad on the side.

    HEA1 - cheese
    HEA2 - milk
    HEB1 - bread
    HEB2 - Alpen light (0.5); 2 Ryvita with hummous (0.5)
Syns - not sure; may have a couple of small glasses of wine

If you tell me what you want to lose by the end of the year I will add you to the spreadsheet.

Diet coke is syn free and a good option when out. All diet pops are syn free.

:T well done on getting back to target denise. That's my dream too!

:hello: welcome nicki. You seem quite familiar with the plan if you've never done it before. Have you got the books? Just ask anything you want to know and we'll be happy to help.

Hope you got that diamond sticker Maman :)

No, no sticker beanie and I thought being a couple of pounds out of range wasn't the best time to ask.:o

Interestingly, she suggested to someone who'd massively (8.5 lbs) fallen below target that if she fell below another half a pound she could have a shiny for 3 stone. Her reasoning was that if you're going to pay (impossible to put enough back on in a week) you might as well get a sticker???

Gettingtheresometime - you say you had your usual breakfast and lunch but that may actually be the problem. It would probably help if you could mix things up a bit. I think I'd get bored if I had the same every day and I certainly wouldn't be able to stick to plan for long rather than the 7+ years I've been doing SW.

It can be helpful to try different challenges as well such as having a different HEB every day of the week; the 7 challenge which is having at least 7 Speed foods a day; 7 syns a day and 7 drinks of water a day.

    Worth a try?

    Denise

That's good advice about shaking things up although it seems to me that you're just feeling down in the dumps. That can happen after a holiday as you haven't got that to look forward to any more plus you weren't at all well when you got back. I'd suggest you try setting yourself little goals day by day so that you feel you're getting control back and achieving something. Perhaps going for a walk or making yourself go swimming or cooking something different. And keep posting!:)

I STS at weigh in today :( really disappointed as I have been on plan!

hoping the scales will show a better result next week!

Speaking from experience, that's infuriating when it happens. Fingers crossed for a good loss next week.

Lunch today at my meeting wasn't too bad at all. Some very fresh sandwiches with what seemed like wholemeal healthy fillings and super fresh fruit kebabs for pudding. There were crisps, sausage rolls and cakes too but I ignored those!:D

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, 2 fried eggs, HEB toast, mushrooms, tomatoes, HEA milk for drinks
L: 2 small sandwiches with ham & salad filling, 2 fruit kebabs
D: chunky chilli (tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, carrots) with rice, SW chips and cottage cheese
    Syns: bread 6, spread/chutney 4 (that's a very generous estimate).

Could I join in for some moral support please?

I've had a really tough year one way and another and when I stepped on the scales yesterday I discovered I have 3 and a half stones to lose to get me back to normal fighting weight. No wonder even my "fat jeans" are far too small now. I haven't done SW before so it's all new to me and I could do with all the advice I can get.

    Today's plan:

Breakfast: egg, bacon, mushrooms and one hash brown (2 syns)
Lunch: Boots shapers sushi, fruit bag, Diet Coke (1 syn?)

I'm in a hotel tonight but have looked at their menu online and think I will have chicken breast, mashed potato and green veg no butter. No idea how many syns to allow for the mash but surely can't be more than 12!

    HEA semi skimmed milk
    HEAB wholemeal roll

Have been drinking water and tea and coffee other than the sneaky Diet Coke and plan to hit the hotel gym when I arrive for a gentle session to break me back into exercise.

I'm trying to do extra easy so if I've messed up the rules already please do let me know.
    Welcome and good luck :D

HI, Nicki, Come and join us, we don’t bite – too many syns!

Congrats on getting back to target, Denise.

Although your tea looks delish as usual, bubbs, I am not craving it, probably because I’ve just had mine!

I missed out on popping in yesterday, which is probably just as well as I was out for lunch. I will draw a veil across that episode and move on. Here’s what I’ve had today.

Breakfast: 2 Duncan of Deeside oatcakes (3), half fat soft cheese (part hexa), apple
Lunch: ham and boiled egg with a salad of mixed leaves, red pepper, cherry tomatoes, syboes, and cucumber, Milbona ff Greek style lemon yogurt
Dinner: 4 fish fingers (8), SW chips, peas, beetroot, tom sauce (2), half hexb bread, fruit salad (melon, grapes, mango, mandarin) with ff milbona Skyr yogurt
Snacks: none yet (what’s going on here?) but probably half hexb sandwich with part hexa soft cheese and tomatoes later

Another lunch out tomorrow. I’ll do my best to behave. Night all.
