    Hello all- I’m back!
I’m cream crackered though :D I was at the Steps gig last night at Newcastle Arena and it was absolutely amazing- had a ball and even managed to stay on plan :D Mum made me a massive speed and free tea before I left- Quorn Swedish meatballs in passata with veg and butternut squash spaghetti- and I took fruit, popcorn and Alpen Light bars with me to snack on. I also treated myself to an alcohol free beer for 3.5 syns. Travelled back today- it’s been a long old day and I’m worn out! A sneaky weigh tells me I’ve managed to pull it back pretty well, I’ve booked a hol but will decide tomorrow if I’m going to go and weigh and get it out the way :D my size 18 jeans still fit though so at least that’s something :D I’ve just booked for me and OH to go away for New Years Eve so that’s a bit of an incentive to stay on plan for me.
    Today’s menu:
B: HEXB Oats so Simple Big Bowl Porridge sachet made with HEXA s/s, water, fresh rasps
L: Boots Shapers Sushi (1 syn) Boots Shapers Sweet Chilli Chicken Sushi salad (2.5 syns) Popchips (4.5 syns) Apple, strawberry and grape pot, 2 x easy peelers, orangina light (2 syns) water (all this was consumed over about a 4 hour period :D not all at once :rotfl:)
T: Aldi Lamb Rogan Josh (1.5 syns) green beans, carrots, baby corn, peas, sugar snaps, tender stem broccoli, salad onions, mushrooms. 2 x Alpen Lights (6 syns) water
    Syns: 17.5
    Night all xxxxx

  • Ohh thanks! SOTW!

Ironic that WI tomorrow is now likely to be a massive gain! This week has been a bit of a write off SW wise. Was out for a very early xmas party on Thursday. Friday was a night out involving much alcohol and a drunken Maccy D's stop! Friday was hungover munchies then fish and chips from the chippy for tea (I had pie/ not the good fish with no batter trick) Then tonight we've been out to Chimichangas where we had nachos, burritos and then a banana burrito for pudding. A delicious week but headed for a big gain tomorrow.
Not looking good for the next few weeks either as the nights out are becoming relentless! I don't get much of a social life during the year but December just seems to fill up.

Congratulations Mrs Ryan, it sounds like a well-deserved fantastic day after all your hard work!

Well done losers and STS :T and commiserations to everyone who's gained--I feel your pain. :(

We're trying Schwartz slow cooker curry today--only 3.5 syns for the whole packet and should be enough for 4 portions. I've put chick-peas in instead of potatoes to add more protein and because it's meant to be served with rice--double carbs in one meal just doesn't feel right. :o
I'll be interested to see what it turns out like because the reviews I've seen are quite mixed.

Well I stayed to group last night, and feeling determined that what I eat is the one thing I could have some control over in my life.

So new week, and determined to be on plan as much as possible. Even filling in a food diary.

    Today's plan:
    Breakfast - porridge and fruit
    Lunch - noodles
    Dinner - risotto

    HA - milk and cheese
    HB - oats
Syns - syrup (1), miso (0.5), extra cheese which I will weigh and syn when cooking dinner.

Have a Dr's appointment shortly (just a COPD review so nothing serious) so this is just a quick post with my plan for today.

    B - Almond baked oats - 0.5 HEB + 1
    L - LO gardeners pie - 3
D - stuffed chicken breast wrapped in bacon, chips & beans (3.5)

    HEA - milk
HEB - 20g porridge (0.5); 0.5 still to have later
    Syns - flaked almonds 1; 15g cheese 3; garlic & herb soft cheese 3.5

Think I've probably gone over syns for the week by a couple but hopefully will get away with it!

    Denise
