Good morning everyone. Anybody know how I find the syn value in a mince pie with frangipani topping? MRM was working in Kendal yesterday and I begged him to visit a bakery we know there to get some. Had one last night and it was delish.

For Christmas I will definitely be off plan for Christmas Day and Boxing Day due to drinking wine mostly. I have been dry the last couple of weeks to help my weight loss and plan to go dry in January. We also have cheese and chocolate in the house again. We always go out for a curry on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve and have tickets for Elf the Musical on 27 so will eat out then too.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Very mse - 29p from Tesco and I am wearing an orange jacket today....:eek::eek::eek:

I can official confirm that 2 kg of carrots over two days, has the same affect as eating too much beetroot does..... the body naturally eliminates it!

OH is going to bring my medium sized clothes home as at the moment my trousers are that big I am tucking them under my bra!!

By the end of 6 weeks I expect I'll have learnt the values of my main meals and might go it alone. My lovely healthcare assistant at the GP surgery is happy to weigh me every month.

That's a great idea caterina. I don't have scales at home otherwise I'd be tempted to keep checking. I just use my clothes as a guide between WIs.

That's a real NSV. I remember wearing the same pair of trousers to WI for months (I did wash them in between;)) and people were laughing as they got baggier and baggier.

Joking aside ssm, I think you should try and have a bit more protein alongside the Speed. A couple of days on your fruit and veg regime won't do any harm but that's probably enough.:)

It's DD1's birthday today so not quite sure of our plans for this evening. She says she doesn't want to do anything as it's a school night but that might change. I've written down a freezer meal as whatever happens I won't have much time to cook and if I don't need it, it can stay where it is.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB toast, 2 boiled eggs, HEA milk for drinks
L: LO 'chicken' casserole with cauli, broccoli and potatoes
D: Chunky chilli and rice with cottage cheese
    Syns: tba

I made the casserole yesterday with a stock pot instead of the usual stock cube. I think it tasted even better, more intense. Any views? Recommendation?

Good to see you again Shala. Are you going to be posting regularly again in the new year?

Kathryn - that weight will come off as quickly as it went on hopefully. Hope you enjoyed all the syns you had as there is nothing worse than having them and not actually enjoying them.

Caterina - glad you seem to be getting to grips with the plan and planning a low syn christmas meal.

Welcome back LLS. Hope you had a good holiday.

As expected my meals at my sisters last night and this morning were definitely not SW friendly, although dinner was lovely - crispy duck & pancakes (so at least some Speed with the cucumber & spring onions!) and spring rolls. Wine syns too.

Breakfast this morning was white seeded bread toasted with real butter & HM marmalad.

Now back on plan. Lunch was Two pea soup and dinner tonight will be SW KFC; corn on the cob; beans & chips.

Think it's a good job I'm not weighing tomorrow and I'm sure I'd be out of target range again.

Hello, starting well on my first WI (well, second since joining SW first since starting the challenge).
    - 1 1/2 lbs for me.
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

That's good caterina . :TIf you can average 1.5 a week it'll give you a guide to how long to target. That's what happened to me. It was an average including off plan holidays as I can't imagine you can go to Italy and stay on plan.

Incidentally, how much would you like to lose overall or haven't you thought that far ahead? :)
