  • Yep, guilty as charged. I have to check but I thought 60 degrees North was the radio station from Fair Isle... and assumed that was where you meant. We were supposed to be going to Orkney and Shetland last year.

Not been there yet but we have been and stayed quite a long way up the North West coast of the mainland and due 🎒 🥾 in Sutherland/Wester Ross again if last year's "Easter" week goes ahead at the end of May. This is looking unlikely as we are a house of 9 households if we go ahead, with another 2 households in a second property.
Didn't know that about the radio station SL.  Haven't been to Orkney but find Shetland stunning.  Worth the long trip

Beaches like the South Pacific, ocean temperature cold enough to kill! 🥶

Budgets trimmed, £200 "found", £25 of PB bought.

    Back to home school. ☕

:D:D There was local news footage of someone (no wet or dry suit, just budgie smugglers) going for a swim in the sea near here - there was 20cm of snow on the beach (so not unlike South Pacific...) but ice bits in the sea - apparently it was -1c - just not quite cold enough for the seawater to freeze!

Life ok, but work torrid (12 hours yesterday), usual budget trimmings and £25 PB purchases made yesterday and today.
  • Ed, do you save up the PB money and a buy a bulk every month or buy them in small amounts?

@Suffolk_lass - another 0.6 lbs off and I'm now at 14 stone 8.8lbs (5.5 lbs away from my birthday goal, which I'm thinking about upping to 3 stones of total weight loss (so 9.5 lbs to go). I think both are achievable with some hard work. It won't start this weekend, however, as I've decided to allow myself the opportunity to eat whatever I like (not just Valentine's day off, as was the original plan). It will knock me out of ketosis, but I've been very disciplined for 6 weeks solid and achieved a fantastic start :)  The funny thing - I'm not even that hungry today!

Budgets trimmed, £25 of PB bought, no eB@y sales (my prices must be too high)! Not to worry, I don't pay for listing.

Today will see light housework, a trip to Waitflower for Valentine's scran, a big family walk, movie night (with pizza) and maybe a wee bit of the rugbyfootsoccerball.

No such epic progress here. I did see a new low number on the scales on Thursday morning but then I made chocolate brownies, shortbread and hobnobs (all were going in to one of the local hospitals) but the middle of the brownies was more like pudding goo so we eat a bit each with yogurt - and then last night we had our first Chinese take-away this year - instead of a meal tomorrow for the other kind of V-Day. Fortunately DS had to come over so the leftovers after filling 9 takeaway boxes with treats all went home with him. Hopefully a little bit of compensation for his housemates who have been without heating and hot water since Wednesday. Needless to say, I have not stood in shame yet and will be very good until I do weigh in on Monday morning, but that first stone is just a tantalising few ounces out of reach.

Your progress in contrast, is completely epic! You must feel so much happier with yourself (I do and it is only one clothing size so far!) - well done!

@Suffolk_lass - thank you - feeling better about my weight than I have done in years. I'd love a Chinese takeaway, wonder if I could get DD to change her mind ;)
