Donna.. I had the bright idea to tackle a childs bedroom while OH is home.. I havent yet touched the stuff I vwant to sort I have spent 2 hours clearing the floor and clearing cat turds and rubbish.. it is utterly disgusting and now I need to wash the carpet too.. next week, when they are at school!!!
I am hoping to clear the girls room so I can clear DD2's old room and move DS3 in there and switch DS2 and DD3 and both those rooms need decorating and beds adjusting.. I hate it when I get DIY on the brain!!
OH loaded DW and took out dead pumpkins and recycling, everyone fed and Spam collected.. I sent him off with a packed lunch.
3 binbags filled from the girls room.. Twinkle down for a nap so we shall crack on.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
That reminds me - thanks for the linky HB - I may order a small sample bag for the mutt, however I'm not sure it's affordable on the scale I'd need to have. All my dogs are 40+ kilos, so it could work out very expensive _pale_ I just collected BoyDog's prescription and had to pay for last week's consultation and anti-biotics too. I nearly fainted.
I had absolutely horrendous vets bills with dog tummy troubles, and one of them ended up on homecooked chicken and rice FOR THREE YEARS plus a daily antibiotic which was the only regime she could tolerate. She arrived with a runny tummy and I think it was the reason her elderly owner actually gave her up, to be honest. Kelpie's 20ish kilos (just below, actually, and finally the ideal weight) and I give him 30g of Simpson's a day, one beef tail, one tripe stick, one frozen raw turkey mince stuffed Kong and a few fish and potato training treats. (He needs the variety because he's so limited exercise wise because of his damaged cruciate ligaments.) With really, really good food you don't need to feed them a huge amount, although I know yours are younger, bigger and far, far more active than Kelps. In the 18 months since I started him on Simpsons he's only had one tummy upset that wasn't cured within 24 hours with probiotic paste, so he's been cheap to feed in comparison to all of the others, when their food and vets bills are factored together. I honestly think it's marvellous stuff now that carpet scrubbing is a thing of the past.
Poppies done, two more shifts to do before they leave. I'll miss seeing them. Flying will commence after I've had a bit of a rest.
OH has spent three days turning out his pile of carp in the attic. I'm thrilled beyond words and have taken a load of it to the scrapstore to get it out and away. Chuffed with him.Better is good enough.0 -
Thanks all for the advice about Tax Credits. Have just rung them and they explained exactly how it has happened. This goes back to 2016 and although no fault of our own they did sent a letter back then telling us we had overpaid and they might ask for it back so my own fault for just hoping nothing more would come of it I suppose.
Have run round quickly with the hoover, house looks a bit messy. Need to work though so have left it for now. Pulled pork in SC for tea so thats easy.
Right, got to earn some pennies!0 -
I'm skimreading like mad to catch up after another s*ddin' migraine.
However, this leapt off the page at me:which would be great.. IF I had any friends!! lol
All behind this week; but Mr LW did throw the Dys0n round in preparation for the meet'n'greet visit we had today from a new guest - a sweet little Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Well instead of sorting the girls room we took advantage of the lull in the rain and draped tarps prettily over the roofs of all 3 sheds to protect what lies within.. we need new sheds desperately but can barely afford food and clothes never mind sheds to protect the thousands of pounds of tools, bicycles, bouncy castle and freezer..
OH nnot in work until 4pm tomorrow so we can do the bedroom then and the weather can do as it pleases. We have a greenhouse and 3 wheelie bins of ivy to take to tip and DS2 has got his position in the chazzer so he needs work clothes and has been given a voucher for Matalan so we will go do that at some point too.. maybe leave the 3 smalls with DS and DD 3 and go kit him out.
fluff and snuff... DS3 'forgot' his retinal screening appointment this morning.. I reminded him last night so it isn't my fault, I only remembered now because I saw the letter! What a doofus!!
Right.. a speedy half hour flingage and then the pinks can go to bed!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Good news Pigpen. When DS1 got his first voluntary role I didnt think he would stick at it but he really enjoy it and it definitely helped him with his confidence and social skills.
Work done. The lovely hi-tech system I use to access the data so that I can work from home on job no. 2 has crashed so that means a 25 mile trip to head office tomorrow which wasnt in the plan. Hey ho.
Oh and DS has messaged to say that he is staying at his GFs again. Do you think it's up to her parents to say no if he is staying there too much or should I be putting my foot down? Need to discuss with him tomorrow.
Right, need to be in at work at 8am tomorrow as I have a meeting and lots of preparation to do.
Night all x0 -

Marvellous news Lynne :j how exciting for you!
Hope you got some sleep Piggers xx
Last night whilst bathing the kids I turfed out the airing cupboard and now have a big pile of stuff to go to Cash 4 Clothes. Won't take it today as likely to have more to add over the weekend.
I've already stuck the DW on and made a brew. Will be volunteering once kiddies have been turfed out to educational places, need to get up shortly and get the beef brisket that we are having for dinner in the SC.
Will report back later, off to stick a wash on and prep that brisket xxMFW
