Great news Dizzy :j:j
I know Natty has a lot going on right now so if someone else wouldn't mind adding me to the FB Christmas card list group I would really appreciate it xx:)
I really hope Bossy is ok x
Busy busy morning (what's new). DS had a meltdown in school playground - nothing at all to do with a 10pm bedtime last night I'm surebad mummy taking them to a party! Withering looks from other mums made me want to both cry and curl up and die on the spot. Not all 3 year olds are perfect okay, leave me alone witches!!!
Washing on line, DW unloaded, sweeties tidied away to the highest cupboard away from little hands, leaves vacuumed etc etc. Might nip to the shops later but as I am skint not best idea, just really fancy getting some winter bedding plants.
Will scoff lunch and be back later ladies xx
ETA - Piggers I am your friend love whether you want me to be or not. Knowing I can come on here and talk to you guys has got me through some very difficult times xxMFW

Rang vet because I can only find half a worming tablet for Rosie, instead of the necessary one-and-a-half.
Nails done.
Freezers and fridges checked - hoping to survive without extra food shopping until Friday. Well, I might need a bunch of bananas...
Clean washing FUPA.
OH sent out to buy new shirt - he came back with a pack of 3 of the right type and size
Washed our bedding.
Took Rosie out - she had fun chasing the squirrels in the wood :rotfl:
Cooked a fry-up for lunch
Now off to the vet's to collect R's tablet, then I need to call in at M€rry H€ll to buy myself a new black coat or jacket - my 10-yr-old "best" coat looks hardly worn (though it has did good service in its time) but I've lost 4 stone since I bought it, and it's enormous on me now.
Then another dog walk before sunset.
And gammon and chips for tea0 -
Just popping in while I'm having a cuppa...
Piggers - you're my mate and that's just tough!
Starting to feel a bit more human today. Still no voice, but DH is enjoying that, as whispered nagging can be ignored (apparently).
Five, heavy bin bags of carp flung in the skip and about twenty buckets of brick dust, cobwebs, rusty nails, bits of plastic, empty packets, masking tape inner tubes etc. etc. Also binned a cheap clock that no longer suits my home.
And, I have painted the entire pantry. It is now ready for the upright freezer, currently residing in the garage. I peeped into the drawers yesterday and it isn't too bad, gunge-wise. I bought a new chest freezer to take it's place in the garage and will be ordering 100kilos of frozen, raw dog food to fill it. We have decided to move the hounds away from cereal-based biscuits and cans, mainly as BoyPup keeps getting poorly ears and feet, so we think he may be allergic to something in processed food. Madam is allergic to peas and pine (confirmed by very expensive testing) so left-overs might soon become a distant memory. Oh, and I already have up using pine floor cleaner. Poor girl's face puffed up like Doughboy from Ghostbusters!
My to-do list keeps getting longer....why!?!?!0 -

It's normal to come home after an intense day at work with distressed teenage boys, cover lessons and DIY in Drama, glance at the copious quantities of Halloween decorations still adorning the house and think 'I'll deal with the most obvious ones at the weekend', isn't it?
We had quite a few knocking yesterday - all small-medium size, mostly in homemade costumes, all quite excited by seeing decorations up - my favourites were a motheaten three foot high Wolfman and a Cyborg made out of cardboard boxes. Oh, and the tiny, tiny 'I'M A MONSTER! RAAARRRRR!' that almost fell in through the front door as they were so excited. They all wanted to talk about about their costumes - not one said 'Trick or Treat', though, it's was all 'Happy Halloween' and one group went 'BOO!'. :rotfl:
I do like Halloween - it's the one night of the year where I can entice strange children to my door and feed them sweeties without ending up on a Register somewhere.
Himself is currently in Deepest Camden trying to get some tickets to a gig tonight. I'd rather stay at home, as I'm not keen on the band, not keen on the journey there or back and not keen on going out the night before he has an interview, but he has the suit, he has the shoes, it's supposed to be quite a short gig and it's his birthday on Friday, so I suppose it's not as bad a prospect as it could be. And I do have professional ear filters, so I shouldn't be too bothered by the noise - he's agreed that if he gets tickets, I can decide to leave at any point (for example, if the crowd is a bit fractious) and we will go.
But I'd still opt for a long, hot, candlelit bath over and above going out if I could do it without feeling simultaneously guilty and suspicious that Himself will get himself trollied and only come in just before he's due to leave for his interview.
And I need to ask him a question.
Why exactly are there pumpkin seeds glued to the cat's arze?
ETA: he's just texted. The bass guitarist from the headline band has given us a free in.
Dammit. That means I have to get off the sofa.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -

Valli.. my total flying.. I loaded the DW.. and decluttered half a galaxy (chocolate not astrological entity)
DS2 had an interview for a volunteer job at a chazzer.. he washed, he shaved.. he even.. brushed his teeth.. seriously, that is a MASSIVE deal.. his dyspraxia means he cannot bear a toothbrush/toothpaste. They said they'll let him know and I am seriously and desperately hoping they give him a chance.. he really struggles socially and I think this will do him a huge favour!

Whoops - I seem to have missed a day
Happy birthday, Pauper!
Have a (hug) ATB - my 3 year old could certainly do a turn just when I didn't need it.
Woo-hoo Dizzy! Progress!
I had to go to work today, but it is a swap for tomorrow, so not all bad. After work I dashed back to town to go to a couple of banks. One tadpole eaten after a conversation with said bank yesterday, and one almighty frog given a good chewing. Hopefully progress in the right direction. Volunteering done tonight.
Flying has been limited to stripping beds - but I'm taking that as getting ahead for tomorrow
ETA - fingers crossed for your DS, Pigpen.0 -
Hi all
Yay to the floodgates Dizzy! Hope you stay dry for ever no matter what the Welsh weather throws at you.
Been awol, had a bit of a rubbish few days. We have bills coming out of our ears here which isn't helping ... and the lovely tax credits people want £350 back that they overpaid us two years ago (despite the fact that I have always given them the right information at the right time).
So not much flying done but I am keeping on top of the basics. Tomorrow is another day right?0
