That's serious progress, Dizzy. Lovely. There's a lovely brand of dog food called Simpson's that might be worth a try; the vet nurse who looks after Kelpie at hydrotherapy tracked it down when one of her own dogs had recurrent permanent digestive problems and it worked it's magic on that dog, and now swears by it and sells it as part of the business. I can send you some of Kelpie's if you'd like to try a sample, or you could contact Simpson's yourself. I wish I'd discovered it years ago for the other rescue dogs because it's marvellous stuff.
Piggers, in real life I'm not 100% confident we'd all get on like a house on fire for ever and ever and never, ever argue or fall out, but I'm pretty sure we're some of the best friends some of us have right now. IYSWIM. And I like both Flyladies I've met so far, rather a lot.
Happy birthday Pauper! Sorry it's a bit late.
I hope your assessment went okay, Donna.

This morning was frantic, racing around between appointments until I panicked completely because I had 20 minutes to fill up the car, get home, unload it, park it, get changed and walk to the theatre to meet someone at 1.30 pm for lunch. I charged into the house, shrieked for OH's help and only calmed down slightly when he told me it was actually 20 past twelve - because I'd forgotten to change the clock in the car. Doh! In the intervening hour I did all of that stuff, planted 28 plants in the empty-but-for-bulbs pots on the front steps, put a load of washing on, prepared the car's scratches with surgical spirit, and then locked OH out of the house by giving the front door a good slam as I left, having asked him to water the newly planted pots. He was not amused when he caught up with me halfway to the theatre.

'Lunch' finally finished at 9.30 pm in Pizza Express. We had a lot of news to catch up on.

A decent amount of internal flying will happen tomorrow after I've done my stint on the poppies but the front steps look fab for the first time in months. I'm sure that counts.
    Better is good enough.

Thursday already, how did that happen.

Not much flying here, I am still working through DD2 washing but nearing the end now, basket is now empty so just what she finds in her room and lying around the house (ok probably 2 more loads then were done). Much money spent on them both as bought them each 3 new bras, much needed and then took DD2 into specialist climbing shop in Paris for new equipment for her birthday, she's delighted, we're broke!

Came down this morning and decided lounge and kitchen were untidy, so set to, in reality both looking straight and nice again within less than 10 minutes. I had vacuumed both Tuesday and Wednesday so trying to keep on top of the place. Was very pleased how quickly it all fell back into place.

DD1 gone back now so a bit calmer, DD2 to hospital appointment this afternoon so that will take up most of the afternoon.

Thanks for listening to my ramblings, you lot are all great. Trully inspirational and motivating.

Morning all. I haven't had a chance to read through properly so hope you're all ok.

After thinking this week was going to be all late starts, today is the first one so I've just caught up on the Mondailies and am about to spend 5 minutes LOOKING at the lists!

    Have a great day everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.
  • Morning lovelies :)

Babes chased off to school and pre-school, DH sent to work with a flea in his ear for being grumpy and now it's just me and the dog, bliss.

So far I have sorted a load of recycling out, washed the doormat, set the DW going and piled a load of stuff on the stairs to take up. Also cleaned out the kitchen sink drain with something uber toxic, but it seems to have done the job! Giving myself until 10am faffing on the internet then will get cracking.

YL - Sorry to hear you've had a rubbish few days. I hope you can come to a repayment agreement with tax credits that isn't going to stretch you. How on earth do they come up with these figures out of the blue, and after such a lot of time has passed? Have a hug and cuppa from me now, and a wine for later xxx

MAD today will be ebay listing xx

Thank you everyone for your birthday wishes, and being so welcoming :) reading your posts, it's clear you're a close group! As expected, I did *nothing* yesterday.

This morning I managed to S&S the kitchen and put a load of nappies on before I left. Hopefully will get a bit of Boudoir cleaning in later.

YL.. appeal it.. they have a different department paid to doctor numbers and they are just trying it on.. tell them to prove you owe it before offering to pay a penny.. if you give them anything you are accepting you owe it.. appeal it.. if nothing else it drags it out a lot longer because they are imcompetent!

I have acquired a Spambolini today so my house is extre noisy but the demons are playing rather than screaming for 2 hours that they are bored. Next doors buildery types are being super loud too.. swear they are just running up and down the naked stairs with their boots on for a jolly and drilling random holes in walls with their radio on full volume.. I might have to have a word about the radio tbh.. if I can hear every word clearly in my house they have it too loud imo.

Happy belated birthday Pauper! Hope you had a lovely day x

I have been very domesticated this morning roasting pumpkins to make puree for "culinary delights" at some later stage. My pumpkin curry was a resounding flop last week. No-one, except me, liked it, so I'm going down the sweet treat route next...pumpkin pie maybe?

Ooh, ooh, and I roasted the seeds and sprinkled with salt to see what they were like. DH turned his nose up when I said what they were but has come back in twice for handfuls, so I think these were a success :T

Currently having a cuppa on the sofa with my small people, who are still on half-term. Cartoons anyone? Jealous that yours are back at school ATB. Sorry that your holiday was a bit stressful :(

Why is it that the tax office can never seen to get things right, despite having all the correct info? You have my sympathies Yorkie, as I'm paying back an overpayment on CTC which they incorrectly calculated (I did tell them, but they insisted it was correct...ho-hum).

Currently nursing a poorly chicken who has been confined to a cage in my bedroom. Having to syringe feed her water throughout the day and she is not eating well, so not looking good for her. She's one of my original girls, so I'll be sad if she crosses rainbow bridge. DH rather heartlessly (I think he was joking) said we could use her in the new raw food regime for the dogs  if the worst happens. That reminds me - thanks for the linky HB - I may order a small sample bag for the mutt, however I'm not sure it's affordable on the scale I'd need to have. All my dogs are 40+ kilos, so it could work out very expensive _pale_ I just collected BoyDog's prescription and had to pay for last week's consultation and anti-biotics too. I nearly fainted.

Might sneak in a little nap now.....zzzz......
