I've been MIA for the past couple of days, and likely to be cheering you all on from the sidelines next week by the look of things.
Dizzy - super exciting stuff and my jealousy that you actually have a bath is sky high! I'm still waiting for that one....
Pigpen - belated well done to your ds.
Lynne - exciting news, can't wait to hear about it next year.
LW - good news on the new visitor front.
Pauper - I hope you find somewhere soon. I won't bore you with my list of dailies, but I also didn't have such a thing until I started lurking around this thread!
It looks like it is going to be a full on weekend. FiL is back in hospital and it isn't looking hopeful. DH is there now and will be until the inevitable happens, which was expected today, but he's hanging on in there. I have DD to console, but she is trying to tough it outThis weekend we have a local fundraising event going on which we are involved in. Things were already going to be logistically complicated, but they have now been blown sky high - no rockets required round here.
Sometimes I wonder if it's too much to ask to have just a short time when there isn't a crisis lurking. Sorry, I know that lots of people are far worse off than I am. Moaning over!

Evening all and thank you for all the lovely comments re our next adventure
Sending gws vibes LW for your mouth ulcers. I know how horrible they are and you have my sympathy. I remember you having them before - is it to do with your medications or are you a bit low on B12 or iron ?
Big, squishy hugs FayolleWe got home fairly late last night, and had bad news from our landlord.....
What are everyone's 'dailies'? We have no real routine and I'd love to glean some good habits from you......
My dailies are
Open all the curtains and blinds
Open a couple of windows if weather is clement
Tidy LR
Read newspaper with a cuppa or two
Tidy bathroom and wash round sink after washed and dressed
Deal appropriately with anything left to dry overnight
Get out of freezer any food needed for day
Open bed, stand up pillows and open window when DH vacates
Hang up night/early morning wear
Collect up any washing and put in basket
Leave for an hour and remake bed, plumping duvet and pillow
In the summer I dead-head/weed planters and boxes on balcony
From now until Spring I karcher the windows and wipe all window ledges
Hugs, sticks and spoons as needed
Hope you all have a super Saturday (and enjoy the fireworks if you indulge)

Out of interest - what does everyone have on their dailies list?
Sometimes mine has things like...actually brushing my hair, wearing paired socks, wipe chocolate (I truly hope that it's chocolate) off the lounge door...again, feed the cat, chip burnt carp off the hob, open the curtains in my bedroom, feed the cat, buy milk, buy bread, feed the cat, wipe the toilet seat, hang up the towels, pick up the discarded clothes, wipe the toilet seat, feed the cat (did I do that already?), collect eggs, check chicken water and food, wash up, dry and put away everything that has remained untouched by DH despite him having to fish into the washing up bowl for a coffee mug  oh, and feed the cat...
It is literally endless.
Sometimes I fly too. But not all that often.0 -
Morning all
Peaceful passing vibes to your FiL Fayolle xx
Up early, DD woke not long ago, she'll be tired tonight at the bonfire party. Working this morning until noon so DH on kiddy duty! Need to go & tidy the kitchen shortly and sort some laundry. Living the dream eh!
Have lovely days all xxMFW

As I've been so behind with flying this week, I am handing DS duties over to DH and cracking on with the house. We've already got a wash on, but it can't go outside as it's due to rain all day
I did manage to blitz the house during the week, while I was in sole charge of DS, so it shouldn't take me long today. Thanks for all your inspiration this week!

Donna.. I had the bright idea to tackle a childs bedroom while OH is home.. I havent yet touched the stuff I vwant to sort I have spent 2 hours clearing the floor and clearing cat turds and rubbish.. it is utterly disgusting and now I need to wash the carpet too.. next week, when they are at school!!!
I am hoping to clear the girls room so I can clear DD2's old room and move DS3 in there and switch DS2 and DD3 and both those rooms need decorating and beds adjusting.. I hate it when I get DIY on the brain!!
OH LORD you have your work cut out for you - i refuse to tidy DD (17) room now, I go in there and I literally want to scream its just so untidy, with rubbish and clothes everywhere - I was so anal about my stuff when i was her age I just don't get it
The thing about DIY is once you do one room they all look so grubby....i am yet to start painting stairs, carpet goes down this month
If its any help i cleared DS's room, sold a few bits, took a look to charity shop, he hasn't complained, hasn't missed anything i took, xmas this year he will be getting minimal toys - he literally kicks a ball and plays with this match attax cards and that's it! There are loads of bits i need to do to that room but haven't got cash at mo, also need to chat his dad up to take me to IKEA for big kallax unit0
