    Morning all.
Hope you got home ok Dizzy, and I agree with ATB and Piggers about the fireworks. Am bracing myself for another evening of Poppet shaking life a leaf. Reminds me of OldDog. Littley is not bothered thankfully. On Friday night, one of those rocket things hit our LR window. Now that made me jump.

Today is mine to do as I please...once I've put the lamb in the slow cooker and prepped everything else for a roast dinner later, changed the bedding, done some exercise, walked the dogs.........

    Have a great day everyone.

Dizzy hope you got home safely xx
Piggers have the updates finally finished?!

Having a cuppa in bed :) DS next to me watching TV, DD still asleep. I've put the TD back on for a bit as it's not quite dry. Have loads of other laundry to sort, and will write my to-do list for the week.

    Cooked breakfast first though! X

  • Morning, hi atb was just wondering the same thing about Pigpens update!

Went to a family bonfire party last night - have done this with the same group of people for at least 15 years. It was great fun, I know things have been a bit tough here lately but I have a lot to be thankful for. It was lovely to see DS1, DS2 and girlfriend there too. Lots of giggling in our house very late last night when we got home, no idea what they were doing.

Lynne so pleased to hear your news, I have got to an age where I sometimes dream of doing something completely different but I dont think it will happen anytime soon.

So, everyone else asleep. Going to wash the sofa throws and doggie bedding. Might get the bike out later - frosty here first time this winter that I have seen the grass white over.

Donna did you ask about dailies? I work more or less full time split between two jobs although my kids are old enough to take care of themselves (in theory). I have to keep on top of things because I dont get much time for housework. Every day I will swish the bathroom with a cleaning wipe, make sure that all washing up is done and kitchen worktops are clean and tidy, do a bit of laundry if needed, sweep the kitchen and utility floor and if I can find time run the cordless vac around. I Kon-Maried my house a couple of years ago and because we dont have toys or all the clutter that goes with babies and small people things are usually fairly tidy which helps massively.

    Coo-ee me again.

I've watered the house plants, put the lamb in the slow cooker, done 40 mins exercise (apart from dog walking this is the first I've done since Aug) and just had breakfast. Veg prep and washing up next.

Morning. Woke up when alarm went off at 6:20 (doh) but got back to sleep. Have had 2 loads through WM overnight.
Kitchen and bathroom both done yesterday. Want bath clean ready for HOTWATER which resumes on Friday! Woot!
Will peg out today, clean out bunny and plan for work. Need to go into work this afternoon as classroom is a tip as I went to school disco Friday. Also need to print & laminate resources.
Plan to chuck various things in SC then I come home to food!

Ok, so we're home. I got two hours sleep before Mr Itchy-ear woke me with his scratching and flapping and squeaking and yelping. Then, the small people (who got to sleep in the car all the way home yesterday) get up demanding breakfast, milk, TV, warm blankets etc.

Got a children's party to go to later this morning. I'm not feeling it.

    Morning.

Thanks for the brew atb :coffee:

I've got WM on and a bowl of pots soaking. I've also put out the rubbish and some recycling, and fed the birds. Not done much flying on my week off (as in any :o) - but I have caught up with friends and started my Christmas shopping, so not a complete write-off. I had such big plans which stopped me before I started. Will I ever learn?

Oh, I did clean out the budgie :T

Hugs, spoons, sticks, furry mules, brews, are all by the door - help yourselves ladies xx (House is a tip, but mugs are clean:wink:).

*Healing vibes* for you, Lamewolf. Please keep posting, cheerful or not - I worry about you when you're absent.

I hope things aren't still at crisis level Fayolle and that you get some calm back into your life. It is not an unreasonable wish at all, and we all get times when we lurch from crisis to crisis. It does end.

I don't hate firework displays, which is just as well because we're subjected to the National Fireworks Championships every August. We also have a big display tonight and at New Year, neither of which I mind because I chose to live here and I knew that events in Plymouth are always celebrated on the Hoe - quite rightly. I've got a rocksolid routine to keep the animals' distress to an absolute minimum and Kelpie and Devil Cat coped amazingly well last night with the random ones that morons set off. It's the retailers that are the problem - Lid1, A1di, I'm talking about you in particular as the rest of the supermarkets tightened up their act a few years ago and have been fairly responsible about selling gunpowder since. Eventually those sales will be banned, and it can't be soon enough for me.

Decluttered OH to the station so he'll be away for 36 hours. I've got a load of jobs half done so I'm going to use the time to finish them, tidy up and clear the decks, put the rubbish out and finish the first draft of the minutes. They're a tadpole at the moment but if I leave them until tomorrow they'll be a frog. Every autumn seems to be frantically busy and I'm not sure I enjoy that any more.
    Better is good enough.
