    - having the company of my dogs

    Hello,

First SFD in the bag too, gym and healthy Hm lunch. Although we had HM pizza for tea. Still smoking the odd one again after the kids are in bed :( but I'll sort that soon again too). Glad i confessed that as it makes me more aware of it again. I don't do cjocolate, crisps etc so this is my unwind/treat once the day is over. This association must stop.

Need to book some flights but will leave it till Friday (night out and SD). My dad and I have some big round birthday numbers next year, so they'll come over and vice versa.

Today should be uneventful, SFD, lunch to work, yummy dinner oh and new WM comes today :)

I am aiming to change my shopping habits this month, to try and stay in budget and shop weekly at Aldi instead of the habit of popping into Mr T every day afterwork ( or most days).
I buy my meat on line from Muscle Foods and since then my savings have been lost by nipping to the Shop for the rest of the meals. So menu plans needed, shopping list, and hopefully I will achieve the 12 or so NSD.
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

    Morning!
NSD 1/12 already in the bag
Organise - Pinned down DS1 for his D of E dates for next year that he randomly babbled at me when I was driving -bought the 2018 diary last week as the dates are rolling in thick and fast and i am a slave to my diary. Also today will be organising and clearing more of the back room so it looks FABULOUS! well, l will settle for clean with a clear floor, which is pretty darn fabulous in my book.

Value for money - will have to buy a few lunchbox bites for Friday's lunches, I swear I have mice that only eat snacks. Oh, did I say mice? meant ratbag kids. All other food for weekend will be from stores as I have loads in and will raid Mr T on YS Sunday.

    Exercise - I am a shocking disgrace

Mental Health, I find myself ridiculous half the time, laughing counts, I am surrounded by clowns, suppose that makes me the ringmaster. Sometimes feel like I need a whip. Would settle for a red coat with shiny buttons.

Be Xmas ready - will look in CSs Friday for shiny bits and bobs for advent calendars.

Eat Well - fridge full of lovely YS veg. Fruitbowl full too. No excuse.

Report in daily -before kids get up for school in my 'Me time hour'

Gratitudes - just feel blessed right now. No real reason, but that there is no reason not to feel blessed. Y'know? Also hot chocolate and lots of books I found over summer when the kids were not reading, but suddenly it has got dark and they are devouring books again. Yay for kids who read!!!!

Right, going to go and shake my snakes awake.

    Day 2 #18 Checking in!

    NSD 2/12

Grocery Budget £68.47/£280. ADVICE PLEASE (I am £1.53 under budget for the week should I immediately put in the Overdraft pot or wait until end of month incase I have an overspend)?

Value for money - T£sco although not known for value I joined their free trial for 1 month free delivery and through cashback sight saving me around £5 a month on deliveries and saving £8 for November.

Exercise - Not on school run until next week

Mental Health - Full night sleep last night. Also DH did some chores (but all wrong) :)

Xmas/DS Birthday - Texted a friend to arrange a date to meet up before Christmas, last year couldn't squeeze it in and felt bad so trying to make sure it happens this year! Also emailed venue having DS party. We were meant to call in and return booking form and pay but keep forgetting as its not really a place we drive past. They confirmed I can send a cheque or pay over phone. DH is paying for this so will sort that out tonight but knowing I can do it this way makes me feel I have done something towards crossing off my to do list!

Eat well - Brought porridge to work, a cup of soup and 2 satsumas. I also know we will be having meatballs and pasta for tea so not too bad.

Be grateful - Again my parents for free childcare this half term. My DH for trying to do chores :). Also the debt free roll of honour forum - some really good short stories on there very inspiring.

Declutter (my personal addition) - Toys that haven't sold on FB or eb@y boxed up for school Christmas fayre and pair of slippers that have seen better days put in the bin!

I'll be taking my first £20 cash out today and hoping it will last the week......

    Have a good day everyone

    Overdraft £4/£1500.00
    Lightbulb moment - 17/08/2017 £17,033.  Current CC debt £0.00 DFD 31/7/24 🥳

Thank you so much everyone for your birthday wishes :)

NSDs- Today should be a NSD. It's an admin type day while my mum takes charge of DS. I've got a to-do list that is horrifyingly long.

    Organise - Groceries £0/£200. Petrol £0/£150.

Value for money - nothing really happening on this front here today.

Exercise - got a bit of walking in yesterday as went shopping with mum for my birthday, but probably nothing today. I walked home from the dr's earlier but that's literally about 3 minutes haha.

Mental health - focusing on keeping my house nice, so made sure I washed up before I left this morning. I also got a LOT of Lush stuff and a couple of books for my birthday yesterday so I will get a few baths booked in as some forced relaxation will probably help.

Be Christmas ready - I'm going to spend a bit of time today looking for ideas for the people I haven't got anything for yet.

Eat well - today hasn't started off that well; DS and I both had white toast with jam for breakfast... so, so good but not that healthy! I'm at mum's for lunch today so no doubt it'll be super healthy.

Report - similar theme to yesterday for me; grateful for the NHS giving me a free flu jab. Grateful for receiving some lovely excuses to relax from my brothers as presents yesterday and for a hideous cartoon on YouTube that DS is transfixed by, allowing me to change his nappy without drama!
    DMP start 1st May 2014 - £5,864.48 £39,349.41
Original DFD from Stepchange 6th Sept 2039...

BadBookkeeper personally I would leave it in the pot and do the month as a whole but it's whatever you feel most comfortable with.
Change the way you see things and the things you see will change
  • hello everyone :hello:

    here goes for november :A

organise: need to do a final balance transfer onto 0% card before fee free runs out which means all debt will be together. a few diy jobs to deal with around house including a window in DS bedroom which wont open so I need to get someone in to look at. more sorting of toys for eb*y or CS, DD and DS have far too much 'stuff' :(

value: I always try to check for deals and use vouchers cashback etc

christmas: quite a bit done but really need to write a list now to keep track

mental health: need to make more time for me and do things I enjoy rather than just things that need doing. and also stop worrying so much.

excercise: need to think about this we don't go out to walk the dog on an evening during dark nights DH goes on his own. I may need to get the excercise dvd's out

eat well: this one is something I need to do. I always cook a healthy meal on an evening but I never eat breakfast and as I am now in on my own over lunchtime ( DS2 started school in sept) I don't tend to make good choices. :o

my budgets for this month are:
    NSD 1/15
    food 0/200
    diesel 0/40
    school 0/20
    clothing 0/30
    entertainment 0/30
:coffee:i find a cup of tea can solve most problems:coffee:
 but alcohol solves them all
    basic emergency fund 387.87/500
    £1000 emergency fund #290
    mortgage 91,719= 21y 0mnth
    6 mnths exp 0/6633

BadBookKeeper I would leave it to oneside, just in case but that's just me!

Feeling more positive today, yday was a spendy day but actually ended up with more in my budget as hubs fuel was cheaper than usual. :T Think that if I am careful this month theres no reason I cannot stay in budget. :o and I would really like to , as the more money for Dec the better.

I am off to claim mine and Hubs free subway tonight for tea:T:money:healthy eating is going badly wrong, I NEED to get this back under control. a rough few days have meant I have just been doing the bear minimum to get by but I need to pull my socks up now!

Will do a proper check in later xx
