    Hi all turtles :j

    Checking in: 20/30

Didn't get on to update yesterday - did read along but too poorly to post..

NSDs:10/15 still the same as spendy day today, as was yesterday

Organise: Not much today as it's CS day & then out to look at car for DD. Also DH unwell so not much done at all...

Value for money - Finally ate the curry that had been prepped on Sunday...has bought a couple of YS items to go with it but everyone enjoyed it. One leftover portion DD took with her for her lunch, one portion in fridge.

Exercise - not unless you count 4 hours in the CS

Mental health - Feeling much better today, yesterday was a write off

Be Christmas ready - bought a couple of items that could be given as gifts yesterday...

Eat well - Good with the HM healthy curry. Find I can't eat takeaway now as far too oily, rod for my own back as I now have to make it all the time

Gratitudes - Nice to eat as a family all together, good to see my friend at work, found some more books by a fav author in the CS, looking forward to a day out (birthday treat) on Friday

Not sure where I am up to. Either yesterday or today (Mon/Tues) must have been a no-spend day - I paid taxi fares but mum owes me the money, did bits of shopping, mostly mum's, food delivery today at mum's and here in the morning (in 4 hours actually and can't get to sleep, perhaps I will go and clean the kitchen) but counted those as spend days when I did the orders.

It's the Church Christmas Fair on Saturday so full on baking (mum is starting to listen when I and her body tell her to stop). Despite the 2 food deliveries, I was sent to Morries in the pouring rain to buy more ingredients. Spent about an hour organising the tinned food in to the 'store' cupboard - measred last week and cut the cardboard layer dividers ready to take with me.

Have put the finishing touches to some felt brooches ready for crafts but wanted to do some work on 'angels' and 'wreaths' (I know 'how to' but wanted to do some samples to copy/ give people an idea). Also using up more cardboard to make the wreath bases - they will mostly be indoor wreaths, if anyone wants to do a green one, it needs to be nearer the time.

DS1 has been to collect his parcels and DS3 and Beloved had taken the pile of clean clothes and bedding upstairs (as I instructed as I went out of the door this morning).

    Positives
We have light in the kitchen - DS3 put new bulbs in one fitment on Saturday, Beloved did the second on Sunday and DS2 called on Monday so he did the third. Need to buy a couple more bulbs when I can get to HB.
Quite a lot of cleaning has been done. Need the bins to be emptied as there are 2 piles of pizza boxes cluttering up the place. I did use a brick to compress the stuff already in the bin and made space for 3 small bags.
Feeling more positive about CBT/ therapy and getting things acheived.

I am grateful for my 3 sons and their lovely partners, grateful for progress with their various health issues, glad that DS3 is persevering with the no takeaways/ only sugar free lollies and slushies rules, that it is already showing results and that he is amenable to Beloved's plans to take him to the gym, glad that mum is feeling better and 'our' social life is building up nicely but also that she is learning to stop and rest, grateful for feeling a bit more relaxed and laid back about things (need to survive this week one day at a time, so much to get through).
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

NSDs - still on 12/18, spent £16 yesterday on a new pair of kitchen scissors, nail clippers, emery boards and laundry stuff.

Organise - some ys fish used up from the freezer, really need to eat down what's in the freezer.

Value for money - laundry stuff was on special offer.

Exercise - usual walk to and from work.

Mental health - still feeling positive. Did my nails and eyebrows last night, always feel better when I make a bit of an effort :)

Be Christmas ready - finally have done something here. Christmas savings from the credit union should clear in my account today and I went into the cupboard of doom to find my card making things. Still need to have a look through and see if there's anything else I need to get.

    Eat well - pretty good.

Report - 17/30, grateful for coffee, a productive day at work, having nice nails and OH doing the dishes :D

    Hi all

Today is NSD 12/16. Will aim for 14 by the end of the week.

Value- got my discount off "voucher codes"yesterday & the rest of my stuff was in the sale.

Organise- just planning to keep on top of house work. Feeling rubbish so surviving today & tomorrow at work is my priority.

Healthy eating & excersize- seems unlikely today that ill do much excersize but I will watch what I eat.

Christmas- picked up some chocolates yday for my kids stockings.

Mental health- feeling ok, not very well & pretty tired. Looking forward to long xmas break with hub (used holidays to get more time off)

Greatful for- making shadow puppets with my boys, having saved for xmas all year allowing me to pay for extra xmas activities with the kids this month and just enjoying it. Having a warm house to snuggle up in while the wind is raging outside
  • apple muncher - Thank you for asking. Travelling to the hospital is not bad. Just one bus and it takes about 20 -25 minutes. They are still dealing with other health issues at the moment that my Mum has. No date as to when she is coming home. I am still not working. You are right that I gave up my temp job when my Mum was admitted. I am not planning to go back to work until everything is in place for my Mum in the flat and that she is able to cope/manage if I go out. As long as my Mum is home for Christmas I would be happy. Staying positive as much as I can.
