Best thing for them when they are hurling. Sleep it off/out.

When we were in Manchester it seemed like one out of four was always down with something -it stopped immediately when the eldest 2 went to high school.

Stopped for the two smalls when we moved to Sheffield, and hasn't happened at all in 2 years in L'ester. I had to have 3 sets of bedding for each bed!
I am only now coming out of the fear of not having enough sheets.

I am permanently scarred by the 48 hours all 6 of us were down with v&d.

I will never ever take my washer or dryer for granted, and that was about 4 years ago.

Good luck to all those with poorly smalls - it is nearly norovirus season isn't it?

  • that's an awful lot of bedding f0xh0les!

I am pretty sure it was caused by ... smart1es. Yep. Those mean and nasty little rounds of coloured crispy outer filld wih what passes for chocolate. They used to contain wheat flour, so were a no-no. This pack had rice flour on the ingredients. Somehow, I don't believe them now...!

Anyhow, dd slept for 11 hours and has drunk some water. So far, so good.

That's nice and central. Good for sightseeing in the Old Town and just over the bridge for the smart shops in the New Town. Edinburgh can be an expensive town to eat in so take some restaurant vouchers if you can. There is a very nice Prezzo and a Pizza Express just down from your hotel.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.

    .

Yeah, and even then I nearly ran out! They were being ill as fast as I could remake the beds, and of course it began at midnight and bunkbeds were involved. shudder

Not a phase of development I want to revisit.

Glad small is feeling a bit better.
