Today I am grateful for the start of the strongman season (thanks fmess!), for plenty of walking, for a good catch up with some pupils, for the charity juke box at lunchtime, for dh sorting out my spreadsheet muddle, for the washing machine, for 85% chocolate, for not getting cold today (I was seriously underdressed for the weather - d'oh!), for strongman (:rotfl:)

Does anyone fancy running December? I'm more then happy to do it but will cede to others :D.

    Hi guys,

    Wednesday

11/18NSDs still on 11 as did a fresh top up today, went to Aldi and also picked up a Kevin the carrot bag as a jokey stocking filler for my daughter as she loves that advert at the moment.

Organize - rejigged my wardrobe and bought forward some more jumpers and cardigans (is it just me that think cardigan is a strange word)

Value for money - only really needed fruit & salad today and nipped into Tesco but grapes, strawbs etc were nearlt £2 a pop, walked out and went aldi, got grapes, kiwis, toms, cucumber, sprouts (random) and Kevin for £4.35, bargainacious!

Exercise - decided against jumping straight back into a class at the gym and had an Induction instead, its been a looooong while since I've been and my target has changed, it's not to stay trim anymore :-(, now its to shift the lard so felt this a better idea as I will need to use different machines and attend different classes to start with. I did finish with 15 minutes on the treadmill and was pleasantly surprised how well I did, no ambulances were called or anything.

Mental health - ticking over nicely although I would love for my work colleagues to find a way of not carrying negativity and down in the dumpness around with them constantly, I swear if you look closely enough you will see it oozing from some of their pores.

Be Christmas ready - got a few more stocking fillers.

Eat well - grilled pork chops, new pots and butternut squash and spring greens or whatever they're called..

Thankful for - not being a sour puss all the time.

    Thursday

    12/18NSDs

Organize - took all the hanging baskets down today and had a general wizz round the garden, bought the garden bin back round the back as that's done with for the year. Wrapped the outside tap with fleece and bubble wrap. Hosed the decking down before putting that away til next year, oh and washed the car while I still had it out. Moved some pots down from the top of the garden where its quite exposed to the elements and put the last of the solar lights in the shed.

Value for money -washed my own car (as per)

Exercise - just been busy today.

    Mental health - cheery.

Be Christmas ready - some of my piles are ready to be put into gift bags and I may do that after I have finished on here.

    Eat well - tuna salad

Thankful for - catching up on some things at work meaning I did't have to stay later and do them. I really like to be in a good place on a Thursday as it makes for a better Friday if I'm not running round like a demented sheep dog.

Right, I'm off to make a coffee and get these bits into bags, I've got Heart 80's on who remembers this...

Organise - Lunch and flask of tea made. Few bits of housework done. Managed to book an appointment for tomorrow about advise/quote for a wheelchair ramp. Did mention this to the doctor and ot in hospital, was told ok but do not buy anything at the moment. Maybe able to get some funding for the wheelchair ramp.

Mental health - Going to have an early night. Did a free on line web course for an hour regarding anxiety, depression. Got some useful tips. Even got homework for 10 days.
    Grateful for:
Mum having extra medication to help her for the next few days.
My consultant from the agency who I temp for phoning me up asking how my Mum was.
Knowing that I might be able to get extra help from doctor/ot for equipment for home.

    Today was also a NSD.

Did you know that there is an anti consumerism movement in America who hold a national 'Buy Nothing Day' on Black Friday? This makes me feel conflicted as tomorrow is Buy Nothing Day (at least in the US) but I do need to go to the shops.....

Went to T0sc0 armed with my vouchers, to the absolute disgust of the man on the checkout. :j

So I now have 3 boxes of caramel truffles, a bag of flaked almonds, a bag of dried fruit, peanut butter, harissa pittas x 8, a packet of plain choc digestives, a huge head of broccoli and some chocolate buttons. All for 64p :rotfl:

Still have my £10 amazon voucher and have converted a few Y0ug0v points for prize draw entries. We will see what occurs.......

Feel in the mood to think about decorating, so will get on with that this weekend not quite ready for the ,:xmastree: but could probably do a bit of :xmassmile:xmassmile:rudolf::santa2:

I am going to do a bit of list writing and planning tonight.

    Too early???

Not much to report. Not enough sleep, had to take a couple of short cuts getting ready. Therapy was good, but not happy about them keep saying low mood, sounds far too trivial. Did have agood chat to one of the therapists in the corner. As well as all the usual things I need to work on, DS1's wedding is getting to be a big elephant in the corner.

Not sure about getting to Italy. I have never flown and never wanted to - I can't cope with most fairground rides, don't find them exciting or exhilarating, just sick (I did have a problem with my ear when I was a child, so maybe in addition to my partial deafness it affected my balance as well).

I have been to East Germany and Italy but they were organised coach trips, so experienced people to explain things. I did look up fear of flying courses last week, the first level ones are about £40 and are sort of self-hypnotism tapes, the more expensive ones are £189, a pilot talks you through things, there's a whole evening/ day of exercises and then you do actually go on a plane for a short flight. I am hoping the therapy course will help with general anxiety (replacing the tapes) and then if I think I can do it, scrape together money for the flight (and if it's horrendous I know I need to go by coach and at least it won't last long).

That is bothering me most atm but then I don't do well meeting new people (atm I know the bride and groom, DS2 and one of DS2's friends out of about 30 people - they will have a big family party both here and in Greece later on). Oh and my ex will be there. I'm not speaking to him and his usual trick is to attach himself like a limpet and make everyone play 'happy families' and be nice to him. I also can't stand having my photo taken and don't do 'girly' (hair and make-up). At DS2's graduation my ex (and his 'gf'') made me miserable by pointing cameras at me all the time (he then sent copies of the photos with me cut off).

I love DS1 and his fiancee dearly and don't want to let them down. For now I am tring to cut the problem down and 'fix' little bits.

Today I am grateful for the therapy session and the chat with the therapist (if I need more help when this curse ends, there is a further course/ more help available), for the firework display to celebrate the turning on of the Christmas lights (yesterday someone was saying they had vip tickets and would be watching from the Town Hall, I said I had a vip view every year, from my bed - back of my house faces the side of the Town Hall and the fireworks are set up at my side of the car park), for DS3 and Beloved being helpful (and infuriating in equal parts) and that the Church Christmas Fair will be over with soon (so glad I said no to running a stall).
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

    Hi all turtles :j

    Checking in: 22/30

NSDs:11/15 still on 11 as spent today & definitely will tomorrow

Organise: A little bit more done here vacuuming the dining room carpet & getting the ladder to try & stick the border down that is above the dado rail. Not very successful, I think it may be the wrong stuff I have - DH got it for me & I asked for border adhesive. They didn't have that so he got me ready made paste in a tub, but I don't think it's going to do the trick sadly. Borders clearly not in fashion any more but this is a very deep one that goes above the dado rail, it has bits that have become 'frisky' IYKWIM...have to get thinking cap on as it's not being redecorated anytime soon...

Value for money -All food from stores, made gingerbread all ingredients in. Meals were hm chicken soup, then risotto with chicken & bacon

    Exercise
    - not as such

Mental health - Much better today although we are tired from the early morning, DD is not here & wont be for a couple of days as she's on a different shift, plus we are out tomorrow..

Be Christmas ready - may buy some stuff online shortly

    Eat well - Ok-ish

Gratitudes - DH feeling better (been poorly this week), looking forward to going out on birthday treat tomorrow. Ridiculously pleased with a cake tin I bought online :rotfl:
