Offer £250 to switch to Clydesdale, Yorkshire or B

Deleted cookie's, just in case and had no problems opening the 2nd account with B for wife.
Tried this, didn't work. Like I said as soon as I put the 6th letter in, whatever I write, it says this username has already been taken.
UPDATE: Tried a different browser, got a bit further, they are now supposedly sending me an activation number through the post.0 -

Didn't know if it was possible
No. I had a Barclays Blue Rewards account earning £48 net per year in cashback.
Sacrificing that for five years worth of rewards in two months was a no brainer for me, especially as my DDs for the account will disappear in April 2018 when Tesco pull the plug on their Internet Saver DDs.0 -
having applied on Tuesday for a YB account and getting the "we need to look over the application, we'll be in touch within 2 working days" message I rang them yesterday...."errors in the application and someone will ring you back" and today pretty much the same thing i decided to apply via Clydesdale for a B this afternoon.
sailed through and have the account open and switch confirmation email. lovely. thanks OP.:beer:0 -
I applied for the YB Current Account Plus late on Tuesday evening and got "we need more time... you'll receive an email within 2 days".
Yesterday two identical letters dated 25 October arrived with authentication code telling me to go online to verify. Did so yesterday, account set up and sort code/account number supplied. I haven't been asked for ID but have been in the same job and at the same address for many years. The only email I've had was after verification, confirming the account was set up.
A third identical letter dated 25 October came in today's post!
I haven't confirmed switch details yet - I would really like to keep both my current accounts. Am I correct to think that I could upgrade my Santander Everyday to a 1-2-3 account for the eligible direct debits, and at the same time open a new Everyday account with them for the other DDs purely to switch it to YB? Is there any advantage to staying with Santander for the sacrifice account, in terms of credit references, having already opened one new account this week? I imagine I'd have to go into a branch to explain what I'd like.
Alternatively I'd switch the whole Santander account to YB, but I've only recently explored the 1-2-3 cashback account and realise I should have upgraded to it a long time ago!0 -
Update.
Have access to the app now and switch is all set up for the 8th. In the meantime, I have set up my two direct debits on the new account. You don't need to set them up AFTER the switch, right? Just as long as they pay out within 62 days of the switch.
Just waiting on my debit card and PIN - however, I don't think I will use the account. I will just shuffle the £1000 in and out and use it to store my money for next year's holiday. After the £250 pay out, I may move that money to an account that offers better interest.0 -

But with such relaxed terms as this offer has, I wouldn't have rushed to get the DDs set up on the old account. I'd have set them up directly on the YB/CB account once opened and funded.0 -
Any recommendations on a couple cheap DDs?0

Tesco Internet Saver. But you've only got until 22nd April 2018I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?0 -
Over62 see post 119 & 120 for husband, I applied for my mum and dad through these links for the Current Plus accounts as they don't use mobiles and the accounts were opened straight away.0

I have opened a current account plus but at no point has it offered the switch service. I've logged into my account as it is now open and it won't let me do it from there it just redirects to opening a new account. Has anyone else had this problem?0
