Offer £250 to switch to Clydesdale, Yorkshire or B

I went for the "B" current account option - with .25% AER interest (better than nothing) paid on credit balances up to £2000 - and a "compulsory" B instant savings account with a poor .5% AER interest rate. Does the "compulsory" tag on the savings account mean I have to make a small deposit to it to qualify for the £250?0

However, if you go onto the site, and click "retrieve my application" - fill in your password etc, it will take you through the rest of the form where you are confirmed and can switch
I'll upload the ID later
Yep, just to reiterate this. In fact, had I not seen this I'd have just assumed all they wanted for now was ID, whereas following the advice above I've retrieved the application and completed my application/arranged the switch. :xmastree:
Having gone through everything, confirmed my switch date, got my new account number and sort code, set up the app on my phone and successfully made a small transfer from my 'old' account to this but I've not at any point been asked to upload any documents. So I wonder if they are just sending out an incorrect link?0 -
Just a thought...in future when switching from B to the next bank offering a nice big incentives I assume it will not transfer my savings account with it and will only switch/close the B current account?
(not that I'm particularly fussed about the savings account....)0 -
My application has been stuck in the system since about Tuesday. I was told on the phone that when the system was up and running again, our applications would have been wiped and I should start again. I can't start again as the website shows that you have to apply in branch (which I was told was only temporary until the issues were fixed) and if I try and retrieve my application, it asks for more digits than are in my password. I have started again with B and am waiting for the authorisation code to be sent, but my OH cannot apply through B as he does not have a smart phone. Any ideas?0

I opened a B account in about ten minutes, plus another few to arrange for the CASS switch in a week or so time.
Must have been lucky as all went very smoothly.
Card and PIN inside three days too.
Impressed so far.0 -

Same with me as far as setting up goes. Hope the debit card and pin are equally smooth!0 -

.5% is higher than .25% so I'm not sure what you are talking about when you imply .25% is better than nothing but .5% is poor.
Regarding the "compulsory" tag I'm not sure. The website says there is no minimum or maximum restriction, and it also says you don't need to make a regular deposit, but it does not state whether an initial deposit must be made. What do the terms and conditions say?0 -

Didn't know if it was possible0 -

My interpretation of the comment is that it is better than the offerings of say Monzo (0%), NatWest (0%), First Direct (0%) etc
There are obviously better interest-paying current accounts, if you have not got them already.0 -
Tried to get one for the wife, process is okay UNTIL I get to username. Doesn't matter what I put in it says "that name has already been taken, choose another". Like I said, doesn't matter what I put in, gives me the same message as soon as I put in the sixth letter/number. Crafty.0
