Does anybody know if you still qualify for the £250 if switching a joint account where the additional account holder has already done their own individual switch?
I'm hoping yes as it's a separate customer who isn't already a member joining but nothing to confirm that I could find.0 -
I was confused about a few points, having now successfully signed up.
Setting up 2 DD's to be debited within 62 days-so this is two separate direct debits (not 2 payments from one DD), i.e. Sky and Gas Bill or BT and Electricity bill? And as long as 1 payment comes from each within 62 days, or is it 2 from at least 1 account as long as there are 2 payments in total? That is not explained in the T&Cs, and if it was 2 payments from one DD then it may not be possible for that to happen within 62 days due to the 30 day cycle.
2 x £1000 payments each 30 days for 2 months-presumably I can just transfer in £1,001 from another account and then withdraw/transfer it all out again a few days later, doing the same the following month, if i wished? Not in the spirit of the incentive on hand here but what's to stop me from doing that?0 -
I've applied and been accepted tonight, but not impressed so far. Apart from the joke of having to set the app up using information they keep texting, so having to keep switching from the app to the text messages (that had me swearing), I didn't see anywhere on the application process to give them my existing bank details. Never mind, there's a freephone number to ring in the welcome email that says they are there 24/7 to help. I call it, only to be told I need to talk to the B team, who only work 8 til 8. I'm starting to think if they can't even make setting the account up easy, and don't know when the customer service staff work then maybe I don't want to be banking with them. Apparently I can cancel the application online, although not anywhere I can find. I guess I'll have to call them tomorrow evening and decide if all the £250 is worth all the hassle.0

got a couple of questions :
1. im from Wales, am I eligible to apply?
2. I have an account which has been inactive for a year, can I simply move my active direct debits to my inactive account and proceed to switch?
3. do these direct debits have to be setup before applying for the switch?
4. once I’ve transferred the initial 1k to the new bank after 31 days of opening can I transfer this money back the following day where it came from or does it have to remain in the new account?0 -

You could do it the same day if you like and it would be fine.
Just be sure the money appears on the online statement first!0 -
Just applied, got the 'we need to look at your application, will be back with you in two days'
Just as I clicked submit on the credit check questions I realised that i had cycled through 3 questions because the answer options were the same and 'questions ... out of 5' weren't visible on my small iPhone .
Devastating !0 -
Got through the security questions then
Can you check your details and try again please? Something went wrong but it might work if you try again.
Maybe try again later in the morning to log in, but no email received either0 -

Hardly.
Its a Current Account application to gain a bit of cash not some major life trauma.0
