All done and applied for, couple of glitches with the application process probably due to the site traffic. Been looking for a good switching deal for a while so this £250 is great.

    I’m immensely irritated by this.

First, does MSE warn businesses that they’re going to be promoted on the site, so that they can prepare their servers for the inevitable huge demand?

Second, isn’t Clydesdale Bank, you know, a bank. How can it not have servers robust enough to handle the demand. Did they think no-one would be interested in this offer?

    Unimpressed all round.

Just had an email with the T&Cs - says 'you must credit your account with a total of at least £1000 in the first 31 days after your switch....'

Although could be argued either way, I would guess this means AFTER the switch and thus any money included in the switch does not could towards the £1000

@toto man - during the application it asks you to tick a box 'do you have a debit card on the old account'. If you tick it, it asks for the debit card number. Just don't tick it and it wont ask

My application is stuck on the ID verification section. When I called them up they said that I should login and then answer the three questions.

Does anyone know where I should log in to do this as the retrieve application section asks for characters from my password that dont exist i.e. character 12 when I only used 11 for the password on the application page.

If you tick the box 'no i dont have a debit card' then you don't need the debit card number

Be prepared to answer some very weird questions during the ID verification process. They asked me how long ago I'd taken out a car loan (no idea it was ages ago - the years go by so quickly!) and then asked which of the following are you a company director of AX, HG, WH, LH or TY. This looked like martian double dutch to me until luckily I realised WH is the initials of the managing company of the flat I live in and I think all residents are directors.

I have been through something similar as they are equifax type questions based on your credit file.

I dont mind answering them but have no idea where I should login to see them :(

Will call them up again this evening or tomorrow to ask as there is no rush and its only going to add to their call volume at the moment.
  • Will I be able to do this for my wife's account as well? Can't see anything in the terms conditions about it

    Thanks

Looks like you can now only apply for this in branch.
