Offer £250 to switch to Clydesdale, Yorkshire or B

I applied yesterday think i got one of the equifax type questions wrong asked for a previous phone number none looked familar so guessed lol then got the we'll send you a text message with our decision got that this at 3pm switched and already setup the app and online banking and transfered some money over.

But will i still get the switch bonus i did apply last night but at 12.54pm today MSE have said its been withdrawn and i didn't actually fill out the switch information until later this afternoon. I'll treat it as though i have and complain if they don't accept it as i did apply last night.

what do people think ?

Someone else asked this on page 2, but just wanted to see if it is possible to apply for the B account without the savings account?

Either way, I guess there is just one ID check that would be done (I don't need an overdraft or credit card so assume no credit check).

Opening a joint account was even more stressful. How am I supposed to remember exactly how long ago I had my last loan, phone contract, credit card etc etc. Most likely answered wrong! Website wouldn't accept email even though it was correct format. Now they want upload of income proof. I'm not applying for a loan so why do they want all this? And will we still get the bonus £250if it takes longer as I applied yesterday?

Hah! They said they would give me a call back between 6.30 and 7.00 pm this evening- nada, nothing, zilch.
Not impressed as they could have,as a courtesy phoned and said it will have to be tomorrow......

@littly_kitty Applied around 16.30 and I also got the message that I would be sent an authorisation code in the post. Frustrating as I seemed to have completed most of the steps except of course the critical details about switching accounts.

A sneaky tip that worked for me at 18:00 and looks like it may still work.

If you use a desktop computer to access the following page, https://www.youandb.co.uk/get-b/ you'll see the pink sign up button very briefly flashes as if its available and then greys out as soon as the page loads.

I hit F5 to refresh, had my mouse ready where the button is, and as soon as it refreshed clicked the button before it could grey out and it worked and allowed me to click on it and proceed.

Even though 'officially' they are no longer accepting applications online for the 'Current Account Plus' anymore, they back end URL is still there if you go to:- http://www.ybonline.co.uk/personal/current-accounts/current-account-plus/apply/

I just managed to successfully apply online via this method... might be worth a try for others, the systems seem quieter now.

Do you get a Debit card with the 'B' Account ?
Just found out that you do....

Opened account, but can't switch yet. Says it will be ready the next working day.
