I got as far as answering the 5 security questions and the next message was
we’ve sent a letter with an authorisation code to your home address. When you get it, you can use the code to continue your application.l was given a ten digit code beginning with 30.no idea if that's positive or not

Just tried for the B a/c, went all the way through including the 5 questions at the end and finally I got 'sorry there's been a technical fault'

Seems like one of them banks that give a lot of hassle to open an account, sending out this, having to visit the branch for this etc.

Argh. I did an application for a Clydesdale account a few years ago but didn't send them the paperwork. I assumed the account never opened as I never got the number or anything. It thinks I'm a current customer and insists I need to login

transfered a token amount from my tsb to my new account yesterday it was there yesterday today its gone with balance at zero hmmm i hope this isn't a sign of things to come.

Does anybody know if you can do a manual switch from a Norwich and Peterborough current account to get this incentive? The information I have seen says that you need the switching service, for which Norwich and Peterborough is not a member of.

I too transferred a token amount a few days ago and checked today and all is well. For me I cannot speak highly enough of this bank.

I got the same when I tried to open via Yorkshire. Had an account back earlier this year that has long since been closed.
So I selected Clydesdale as my nearest branch. And that let me apply.
