For those of you who managed to complete the application, did you get any confirmation to say that the switch would be go ahead?0
-
I phoned them to do the switch and I have received an em to confirm.0

I just opened a second Tesco account with the sole intention of using it for this switch.
I like the fact that the DD do not need to be switched, I can set up 2 to my Tesco Savings accounts once the account is open!
Hopefully I can get it all done before the offer is withdrawn:D0 -
Seems their whole phone line system went down sometime yesterday evening- no wonder no-one called me.
Then I failed one of the security questions! but of course don't know which one
They will post me a code within the next couple of days, then I get the a/c details.... hopefully £250 at the end of the rainbow!!Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

I also bombed out on security because I took too long to answer a question. I'd forget phoning them. I was on hold for 55 mins then it gave a msg "I am sorry we are currently experiencing system problems" - then it hung up. MSE is just too big and too popular. One wonders if it is still wise to put these special offers on the site and in the email now!0

nope - I've got one B saving account they've newly set up
to go alonside the 2 B currents
nice to have a spare I suppose
:rotfl:
Keep us posted on how this plays out - expect one might get closed as they will switch your old account to one of these two new ones.
wouldn't get your hopes up for £500 just hope they honour the £250!0 -
Complete the application earlier this morning & logged in to see the layout "OK"
Just made a token transfer from Santander, Tried to log into Clydesdale again to check everything moved ok, Now I'm getting an error message to say my customer number has been entered wrong.
Checked my paperwork I have a 10 digit number beginning "30" according to the error message shown it should begin with "10"
Hoping this is just another glitch, unable to get through on telephone, will try later.
Anyone else with this error?0 -
I managed to follow the link to the B account and successfully opened a joint account for my wife and I. I filled in my details first, then my wife. When she had finished and clicked the link to sort out swicthing the process just finished. Do I need to phone them to sort out the switch or can I do it online?
Thanks,

It works both ways though. MSE should be more responsible, your 100% right. But these banks will also love the positive publicity. They spent several weeks trialing the system in Birmingham and this excuse that "they can't cope with demand" is a joke, what on earth did they expect? Don't put a ridiculously good product on offer, and then not have the appropriate systems in place when demand for that product will obviously be high.0
