Hi all :j
NSD still 11/15
Organise: Not done much clearing today, shift in CS till lunchtime, shopping beforehand. Then lunch, shopping this afternoon for the things I couldn't get this morning (no beans!!). Feeling a tad deflated as seem to be getting nowhere. However, I did peek into my cleared drawer to admire the wallpaper I lined it with!! Spent in CS also - first thing I saw were 2 LAshley cushions which match our (long discontinued) wallpaper..£1.50 each.
Lunch: Beans on toast using last can of beans
Supper: Similar to yesterday - by request - using up last of chilli adding in a tin of butterbeans & wedges to make chilli cheesy nachos. Pudding was left over butterfly buns whilst watching Bake Off..
Food budget: £191.96/250
Be kind: Yep still trying hard with this..
One more time: Mainly to plan but see menu above, start off well but end up badly. Have put on 3lb whilst away, weighed myself this morning, got on & off 3 times but still the same
Extra Income: not today sadly
Christmas: Ordered item for DD online as a spend day. Boring item but will be useful for her.
Exercise: Not really
Heating: still off
Grateful for: Bargains from CS & friends there, lie in possible tomorrow, family time..
Frog: still no eBay frog but bedroom is also one so am taking that. Big challenge is now not to give up when it looks worse than before.. hope to progress this further tomorrow...New start JAN15 - NOT BUYING IT 2015 . When they made this particular hero, they didn't give him a gun, they gave him a screwdriver, to fix things.
They didn't give him a tank or a warship or an X-wing fighter, they gave him a call box from which you can call for help.
And they didn't give him a superpower or pointy ears or a heat ray, they gave him an extra heart.
They gave him two hearts. And that's an extraordinary thing; there will never come a time when we don't need a hero like The Doctor.

That is wonderful news greent! :j So pleased for your sister.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
greent that is brilliant news about the safe arrival of your niece and the happy news for your sister.
mothernerd Dr Who is one of my favourite British TV series ever. Not too sure about the female Dr yet.
Spend day yesterday, £15 in LIDL on fresh fruit for the kids, some cold cuts, naan and fabric conditioner. I feel like I totally overspend again but that's because I included the holiday spends which were actually from savings. Did my numbers and so far I am actually under in groceries (271/350 incl food during holiday), HH is under (32/50), others is over (86/50) and the holiday spend actually came from savings for it. So if I take the holiday spends out I stand at 400/480. Not bad
Definitely getting more into the zone this month in terms of low spends on things we actually need rather than doing the usual shop IFYKWIM.
SFD today, lunch to work and gym.
Not much else to report. Didn't achieve much after work yesterday as DS had chess and I usually just wait for him by taking DD for a walk etc. Were home just before bedtime. Will be the same tonight I think.
DH is back tonight but not sure when so I prepared dinner for today last night (Chinese).DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Congratulation, Greent. Hope mother and baby are both well.
Mothernerd - I think you'd have been justified in saying something to the young men. If you were walking slowly there was obviously a reason why. Some people can be very thoughtless.
Well, that's the living room sorted and another cupboard cleared as far as possible. Believe it or not the heating which was working fine (although we haven't had to have it on much) has broken down. It's not really needed and we have hot water so I think I'll just leave it until they come to install the new system. I could do without any further disruption.
Had to buy some cleaning products so took the opportunity to stock up with Halloween treats.
Today's frog (whilst C is out) is to have a look at son's bedroom and see if I can do anything with that. I think I'm being a tad optimistic!
So another cup of coffee and on I go. This frog challenge fair makes you get on with things. I think I'm going to adopt it permanently.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
Greent Congratulations on the safe arrival of your Niece. Lovely to hear such a lovely story and ending to what must have been a difficult time for your sister.0
