  • Today has been spendy as I had to grab some bits - salad, tuna for packed lunches. I decided to have pasta today for lunch which filled me up considerably longer than a sandwich so I think that's the way to go! Still have 5 more NSD to achieve before I get to goal.

Work was good today - felt very productive and managed to leave early as well.

I don't have much else to report really. Just plodding along as usual.

    Day 24
Sending hugs to those in need of them.
    Managed a NSD 18/20.
Went to see friend and walked there and back so 20 minutes exercise.
Finally finished sorting/cleaning/organising the kitchen cupboards and drawer today. I now keep an eye on what is in the cupboards etc. Glad to have sorted out that frog.
    Read some of my book.
Did rest again after doing the kitchen.
    Grateful for:
    Dealing with a frog.
Seeing my friend who I have seen for a while.
Having a chilled out afternoon and evening.

Just back from mum's. Busy morning. Delivered the 'cauldron' (one of my large stockpots covered with black crepe paper and black satin ribbon) and strings of cardboard pumpkins. Bus hopped there and back to the town centre. Special toothpaste and brush for me and bread and milk for mum. Plus a couple of small plastic (turquoise of course) baskets to help with storage.

Taxi to mum's but was nearly out of energy by then. We have both slept this afternoon - mum went to lie down on the bed. I have put her bins out (so dozy I took one of the wrong ones out first). Went to close her windows this evening and had to hold on to the window sill for 5 minutes before I could turn round to go back to the front room.

Not going to mum's tomorrow. Have to pick up prescription, check where my Thursday appointment is, see the doctor if the queue is short (mum thinks I need to ask him about my arm) then get to crafts by 1pm. I have one piece of urgent paperwork I want to get done and will spend the rest of this evening tackling the crafty paper pile then I can find things tomorrow instead of burrowing through the piles of kipple. Hoping for a low attendance tomorrow - in an ideal world I would be staying in bed being sensible but don't want to let people down so will stagger on regardless.

Congratulations thrifty. Your film guess is near enough - the quotes are mostly nerdy sci fi genre films/ books starting with hitchikers (Don't Panic - 42 was too obvious and 'so long and thanks for all the fish' too confusing), lots of Doctor Who quotes of course (may use one of my favourites, from Steven Moffat, tomorrow) and various other sources. Like some of the Firefly/ Serenity ones but they tend not to work out of context and the labyrinth ones are mostly 'the babe' or 'mawwidge'.

There are a few others sprinkled around and 'May the odds be ever in your favour' is from MockingJay/ The Hunger Games. There has been quite a lot of Serendipity. I had that last quote in the list and already planned to use it on the following day, when the conversation turned to Kat and her challenges, which was why I ahd included it in the first place.

Several times (Don't Panic) a suitable quote was the perfect response to one of your queries (I left out the bit about carrying a towel). Love some of the Monty Python quotes but again, limited utility (maybe the democracy one).

I will leave you now as I feel I am putting off the paperwork - will be simple, i just need to start.

Today I am grateful for simple food, people being pleased with my diy decorations and for getting done the things that needed to be done, if not all the things I would like to have done.

Quick check in - NSD 7/15, lunchtime gym session and yesterday bought the first Christmas present from the half price toy sale at Sainsburys.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • Got another frog today. Painted the bathroom skirting board.
Exercise A walk to get DD2 new boots, no sole left on the heels of the ones I bought 6 weeks ago.
Unplanned spending £25, including some other bits.
Tomorrow's going to be a mess of a day, running around for mum, including having to find Christmas presents from her to the kids, then an informal chat about teaching options, then craft group with DD2,(Small fee) all in between school run.
    Tired just thinking about it.
Hope everyone else is feeling more positive than I.
    Always be kind.
Making cottage pie for mum and dad tomorrow.

Just remembered that I was kind enough not to comment when two young men pulled up on the car park to berate me for walking slowly - my thoughts weren't kind though.

    Hi all

Sorry about the rude "young men"mothernerd I could think of other ways to describe them...

Had a pretty good day, went for a walk over lunch and went running after work. Same again tomorrow.

Need to call tax free childcare tomorrow about money owed to me. Feeling a bit fed up about it. I cannot even begin to explain how much they mess me about. Must be on my 100th phone call and its still not sorted. *Sigh*

Heating is on but on the plus side I am getting by without using my drier because heating is making my washing dry faster- silver linings!

Greatful for a nice evening with the family - trying to teach my littlie to do handstands- very funny, my hubs help hanging washing even though he hates it because we have a drier & cheap winter candles I bought in thr sales last year

Very spendy day today as my car had its MOT and was due a full service. It also need 2/3 of a new exhaust, the air con fixing and a new shock absorber. I also went out for brunch and bought a winter hanging basket and chocolate, and a bus ticket.

I have however finished priming all the wood work, walked the dogs and done 6 hours extra work for my mum’s company :)

Today I was very grateful that my friend picked me up from the garage and drove me home, for the bus back being on time, for the garage bill not being any worse and for the chance to earn extra money, oh and for not being rained on at any point :)
