. Yes it's a good idea to read my application letter again, especially as it's so long ago that I applied for it! I have no idea what I said :rotfl:.
I'm going to make sure I have a relaxing day tomorrow and then I'll have plenty of energy for Thursday and Friday

Your thread moves so quickly, I almost missed this! Congratulations. :j It is great even to be interviewed. Whether you get it or not it will be very useful experience and you will either get it or get useful feedback for the next job. A win-win situation. Fingers crossed you get it first timeHairyHandofDartmoor wrote: »In other news, I don't know if anyone remembers those two jobs I applied for back in November? Well one of them has got back to me today and they want me to do a trial on Thursday and an interview on Friday.
The job is part time and is only about two hours a day so the pay won't be great, but it will be money. Also the job is in the school where I volunteer so I would be getting a foot in the door.

. You're right that's a very good way of looking at it. As you say even if I don't get the job it will be recent interview experience and will help me to get another job. Thanks for making me see it as 100% positive

. I'm volunteering at school on Thursday morning before the trial and on Friday morning before the interview, so I could ask the teacher and the TA for some tips

HH - just catching up before heading off to work and I spot you’ve got an interview. So genuinely pleased for you and will keep everything crossed for a successful trial. I have a good feeling about this.

Well done, HH, on securing an interview:T:j:beer: even though they certainly took their time getting back to you:eek:
As it's in the school where you already volunteer you'll probably know whoever it is that's interviewing you. Far less scary than a panel of total strangers:j
Wishing you all the luck in the world:beer:. Not that you'll need any luck though as if they know you already they'll be fully aware of what an asset you are to the school.
By the way. when I was a School Governor and on interviewing panels (for teachers anyway) we always made sure the unsuccessful applicants were given a debrief and reasons why they were unsuccessful. It was the part of the role I least enjoyed but we always tried to make it as positive as possible for the applicants and in many cases the person who was given the post only 'won' by a whisker. On a different day they might well have been successful. The unsuccessful applicants could always take positives forward to their next interview and if there were any minor problems they'd know to be aware of them for next time.
I'm not mentioning the above because I think you'll be unsuccessful but just in case you are (for a multitude of reasons totally unconnected to you or your admirable qualities:A) it might be worth your while to ask why you were unsuccessful. It can't be an easy thing to do but it might stand you in very good stead for your next interview seeing as it's such a long time since you had one.
Often, usually at the end of the interview itself, you're asked if there's anything you want to ask the interviewers. It's a good idea to have something prepared, not the obvious or what you'll have already been told or experienced, but something that shows you have a real interest in the post or some aspect of it.0 -
Best of luck for tomorrow and Friday, you’ll be great XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j
