  • Well done on your assignment. You are so conscientious I am sure the result will be excellent (although I hate being asked to do something without clear direction :()
I hope you find something relaxing to do later this evening :)

    Thanks DIA :).

Hi HHD. Hope you've managed to put the assignment to bed and you're happy with it. Agree with what everybody else has said about not knowing how long it should be. Would serve the tutor right if everybody handed in 100 pages for him/her to read :rotfl: I'm sure DD is given word counts for her assignments.

I didn't find any daffodils so a little disappointed but I'm on a mission now to have some in a vase on the windowsill by weekend. :D

Have a lovely relaxing evening. xx

Thanks TF2 :). Sorry you didn't find any daffodils. They were selling bunches in my local Coop yesterday.

  • When I said I'd done half of my assignment at lunchtime I was wrong, I'd only done a quarter of it :o. I've now done half of it and I'm completely shattered, so I'll have to finish next week. I've worked on it from 10am until 5pm with a forty minute lunch break, so I feel like I've worked quite hard.

I did a word count and I've written 3,350 words and I'm only halfway, ahem :o. This is what happens when I don't get given a word count . It's going to be about 6,000 words by the time I finish .

Oh well, at least I've covered it the topic in sufficient depth and not just copied the words from my text book :).

I can finish it next week because it's half term and I'll be less busy by then.

  • In other news, I don't know if anyone remembers those two jobs I applied for back in November? Well one of them has got back to me today and they want me to do a trial on Thursday and an interview on Friday.

The job is part time and is only about two hours a day so the pay won't be great, but it will be money. Also the job is in the school where I volunteer so I would be getting a foot in the door.

There are other applicants so I may not get the job :o.

I have to admit to being very nervous about the trial (I don't like that word!) and the interview  but I'm trying to tell myself that I'll be fine and that I just need to go along and do my best. If I don't get the job then I haven't lost anything, I'll just carry on as before doing my volunteering and my course.

  • Thanks Cumbria :). I haven't had an interview for years and years and I've never had a job trial  so I do feel quite nervous. But at least I know the school and some of the children, so hopefully I'll survive the experience :).
