Morning, caught up, I appreciate it’s a long time ago now but I hope the memories of your family holiday and also seeing DS3 are keeping you going....
I am sure it’s count down to half term.... warm wishes BM

Must admit I like a long book.
What's the audio like? I have a couple of 'audio' credits at the moment, but I find some of them so flat I can't be bothered listening to them! Mind you it may be just me. I've been reading for over 65 years and I'm not used to listening instead."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". I got it yesterday and agree that Robert Glenister does a fantastic job of narratingI Believe.....

Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

I'm back!. Thanks for all your comments everyone 🙂.
I've been awol because I've done five full days of TA cover this week AND my lunchtime job because a TA was self-isolating. I've been so tired after work I've just collapsed in a chair and I've been going to bed at 9pm every night. I've been working with a really difficult class too this week, full of challenging children, plus one who has learning difficulties, as well as another who is legendary for being difficult. The child who has learning difficulties is also very challenging and this week he spat on another child, threw water on other children, threw his pencil at another child, threw all his equipment on the floor in the classroom, tore up his work, weed all over the toilet floor so it was like a lake, ruined his glue stick, and emptied his entire water bottle all over his desk 😱😱😱. But I've survived and I got an extra day's pay 🎉.
Now it's half term so I can recover. I feel so tired today that I've decided to do nothing apart from fold up some clean washing and put it away. I'm going to sit in my armchair and read 📚, plus browse on here 💻. When I've recovered from my week at school I have lots of plans for half term 😀. I need to help DH do the vat return 😣 and we need to sort out our paperwork for the accountants 😣. That's the stuff I don't want to do. But I also have some fun things planned like autumn walks at NT places 🍁🍂 and doing my photo collage for the kitchen. I also want to iron all of my school clothes so that I have about two weeks worth ready to wear.
The weather is really awful at the moment, wet, windy and gloomy 🌧🌬☔💧, so I hope there are some leaves left on the trees when we go for our autumn walks. I also hope it stops raining at some point as the forcast doesn't look great for half term.
I'm on the third book in the Inspector Banks series. Whenever I read a book series I want to visit the part of the country where it is set. So at the moment I fancy visiting the Yorkshire Dales, when I read Ann Cleeves I want to visit Northumbria and Shetland, Stephen Booth makes me want to visit Derbyshire, Martin Edwards makes me want to visit the Lake District, the scandi-crime books make me want to visit Scandinavia and Andrea Camilleri makes me want to visit Sicily 🙂. I like the Cormoran Strike books too. I've only read the first one but I own the first three in the series.
DH and I were talking about what we'd do if we were well off enough to retire and we said we'd want to visit all the NT sites in the UK, join English Heritage and visit all the historic sites 🏰 they own and also we could visit all the lovely places where my favourite crime books are set. That would be mine and DH's idea of heaven 😂.
I have to confess to some expenditure today 😕. I bought two summer maxi skirts in the Wh!t3 Stu££ sale. This may seem an odd time to buy summer clothes 🤣 but I'm a believer in buying things when you see them. They were both half price, were linen and they only had my size left. This summer the coolest items I had in my wardrobe were chinos and I got very hot during the mini heatwaves we had. I can't wear short dresses, skirts, or even cropped trousers due to varicose veins 😢, but these maxi skirts will hide them as they'll be just above my ankles. I think they'll fill a gap in my wardrobe but I still feel guilty for buying them. I'll have to do some surveys over half term to make some of the money back.
Apart from folding up all the clean washing and putting it away, I've done another niggly job which is to put kitchen towel filters into my four face masks and put them into a grab bag ready for when I next go out. It's those silly niggly jobs that it's hard to fit in during the term time. I could do with a couple more face masks, but I'm reluctant to spend any more money so I'll wait. I would make them but I'm hopeless at sewing plus I don't want to spend a precious day of my half term doing it.
I hope everyone in diaryland is having an enjoyable Saturday 🙂.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
