Hope you enjoy re-reading the DCI Banks books . I love reading a series of good books with the same main character - it's always a downer when you finish the final book though as you feel that you are saying goodbye to a friend. I've been thinking of starting the Vera books by Anne Cleeve's - trouble is I've got quite a few different books on Kindle to begin and can't really justify buying any more until I get through these! Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

I'm glad it's not just me SSG. The Vera books are really good, I may read those again when I finish the DCI Banks books. I've also got some scandicrime series I can read and the Inspector Gamache series by Louise Penny to read, so it'll be a while before I run out of reading material

I like Ruth Rendell, Agatha Christie, Georgette Heyer, Ellery Queen and Dorothy L Sayers - not really anyone else in the genre.
I'm a massive fan of post-apocalyptic fiction, though !!
Hope you start your week feeling full of beans (maybe literally !!)6 -
Thanks Elizabeth
. I don't think I've ever read post-apocalyptic fiction, which authors do you like?

I did read 'The Stand' years ago when I was in my twenties and enjoyed it, I read 'It' too and that was terrifying 😱😱😱.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

I read The Stand when it came out but much preferred his Salem's Lot - thought it is one of best vampire books - and the mini series with David Soul was excellent as well ( vampires are up there amongst the top of my favourite horror genre!)🧛♂️Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

I haven't read Salem's Lot. I'm more of a psychological crime thriller reader as a rule, but will always make an exception for a really good book. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

I love Ruth Rendall’s books. I enjoy a mix of crime/thriller and chick lit. I can recommend CL Taylor for thrillers 👍 Currently just about to finish Me Before You by Jo Jo Moyes, been on my to be read list for ages, tissues are at the ready, it’s going to be sad 😢I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5
