hi press and go, just to update you, i wrote to cap 1 twice before recieving a reply, sent a third letter and have had reply to my second basically repeating what they said in first letter, today however had a call from them and they said they had sent me out an offer letter in april (i never recieved) but i told them on phone today would not be accepting there offer and could they please give me there final response.......she put me on hold and then came back and said they would revise the offer but couldnt tell me on phone how much......so am now waiting for that in writing and to see if its reasonable off i may be able to avoid court. Stick with it.

It is PPI and I would ask the question on reclaiming the PPI on the PPI board and they will be able to advise how you do it.

  • I have recently requested details of all charges from santander who I have previously had 2 store cards with, barclaycard and capital one.

Not heard anything from capital one yet which from reading other posts on here isnt a surprise however recieved a letter from Barclaycard saying that I needed to ring them 1st to update my address details as I now live somewhere different to the address to where I lived when I had the account.....Fair enough but they sent this letter containing all my account numbers and a copy of my letter and uncashed cheque to No.6....I live at No.8 which my letter states!! Should I mention this break of data protection within my next letter??

I have today recieved a list of charges from santander who i had two store cards with ( previosuly arcadia) do the charges work in exactly the same way for store cards as credit cards? If so with interest I'm aiming to claim back £270!!

    Hi,

Re Citi cards and getting a copy of my signed cca. They've written to me to say that they don't have to provide this as the card isnow closed and they aren't chasing me for any money. All I want to know is what I signed and if tick boxes were completed prior to me completing the application form. Any thoughts anyone? Plus they've also told me that they are returning my £1 cheque. Which is very strange as my bank account is showing the cheque as cashed!!

I know someone will be along to help me soon, thanks in advance.

  • I have recieved a list of charges back from MBNA some at £25 some at £12. Can the £12 charges (after june 2006) be claimed back as well or are these deemed as acceptable?
    Many thanks

As per the MSE article linked to in the OP
Charges after June 2006. For any charges on or after June 2006, you were probably hit for £12 each time. As this is already set to the OFT recommended amount, you simply need to ask for the full £12 amount to be refunded.

    ...

I think it’s worth asking for the full refund at this stage. You can always change your mind later on if you are offered a settlement for the difference between what you were charged and £12.

  • What is the best thing to do if the FOS agrees with the credit card provider, as a relative has just received a letter saying that the FOS account charges team (the individual who dealt with the claim) agrees with Egg that the charges are O.K.

I have been at this saga now for three years. All for a paltry £400 - well, to the bank it is, to me its a fortune. Since then due to ill health I have been seriously struggling with finances. After all the hoo-hah with the banks so-called victory I wrote saying that I was now in hardship and could they please review my case. That was end of March 2010. Nadir, zilch until I got a letter signed Mr Squiggle saying that they would be prompt and fair. I persued this and got another letter signed Mrs Squiggle saying EXACTLY the same thing. The FOS have said that I need to be patient. On my PPI claim FOS rang me two months ago and said that they agreed with me and that Lloyds would have to stump up and said I would hear in three weeks. Two months later......nothing still. The overdraft claim is just going on and on and on. When I read of all your fantastic success stories I want to really go on and get my £ back, but it is very disheartening to say the least.

Someone say something nice and positive and preferably someone from Lloyds who can tell me EXACTLY what is going on!!! LOL...
