whoohoo!! result from cahoot/abbey! wrote letter to cahoot a few weeks back asking for charges to be refunded - they said no but if you dont agree then speak to abbey (and gave me an email address) so emailed them, received email back saying we are looking into it blah blah blah and got home today to find letter saying we dont agree they are unfair but as a goodwill gesture they will give me back all my charges plus interest and a cheque for just over £800 will be arriving soon!!!!

the one on the back of my card - coventry
  • No it isn't. The fact is that it was requested originally as part of the SAR which they failed to complete. Tell them it's 7 days or a complaint to the Information Commissioner's Office goes in and that you want every single statement since the card was opened.

Thankyou so much for your advice, I asked them previously if this is right but they keep telling me they're allowed 40 days still, will get back onto them, thankyou again!

hi it is a bit hard to check because my mum had to pay it for me.
so I'm not sure and my mum can't find it and she can't see it on her statements.
    thanks for reply.

Can your mum not phone/visit her bank to check to see if the cheque been cashed.

It may well be on the most recent statement which has yet to be produced and sent out to your mum yet.

    Good luck.
