if you use the template letter it states that your considering legal action (FOS)

I've sent my letter off requesting charges to Lloyds TSB but either Royal Mail have lost it or Lloyds TSB have refused it.

Either way, it's not been delivered. What do I do now?

Do another copy of the letter and send it recorded this time, they can't deny it's been received then;)

It was  It's showing as being delivered to the post office where I posted it...
  • I finally have enough money in my bank account to pay off my Llloyds TSB credit card account. However, I've had all sorts of trouble getting a final payment amount. I'd like to reclaim bank charges going back over the last 3 years.
Should I do this all in one letter, or would it be better to pay the amount then try to claim it back? I'm afraid that if I ask for 2 things at once, as well as complain for mis-information (i.e. have been intending to close account since Dec 08, but just now getting info that I have to write and cannot do it over the phone).
    Thnx for any advice.
  • Put in a claim for £1100. Recieved a letter of goodwill offering £250, in which I accepted by ways of signing a letter stating that I accept the offer.

I only did this as I quickly needed the charges back as I was already over my credit limit, and with no immediate means of getting back within my limit.

I received the charges soon after, though I would like to know if it is possible to still reclaim the full or partial remaining balance, as the remaining £850 would be greatly needed to help pay off other debts.

    Thank you.

I had the same thing happen to me, i re-sent the letter via Royal Mail sppecial delivery and that way i could track and trace the letter. As least then they cannot lose it! I think the bank would have send you a letter of refusal if that was the case. I try and record all by letters to the bank now.

    Hi!
Would be really grateful if anyone can help?

I have an american express charge card and have often incurred charges for paying later than 'statement due by' date.....is this something I can claim back or as a charge card, is it not considered the same as a normal credit card?

    Grateful for any advice.

    Thanks,
