Thats great news you have been given your money back. I am currently wanting to do the same on my credit cards for the charges & I was wondering what address did you send your letters to for Barclaycard?

    Thanks

    Capital one
    Amount cliamed 595.00
    Amount offered 593.47

Sent all 3 letters the first letter they offered me 215.00 with interest. I wasn't happy with that so went to ombudsman they claimed on my behalf and got the full amount, Capital one says they already refunded me £40 some time ago i don't remember this but still a great result. Thank you all for your possive feedback to carry on my complaint.

Got an offer through from Barclaycard yesterday for £600 + £244 interest!! they said they would credit my account & that this would be reflected in my next statement. Phoned them up to tell them that as I dont owe anything on my Barclaycard I want the money put in my bank. I was told I have to write to them to inform them properly, grrr! I've sent a letter off so hopefully wont be too long before I get my money! I only sent my first template letter of 6 weeks ago so not too bad!.

    Hi all
DIDNT CLAIM AN AMOUNT. SENT A LETTER THAT I READ THAT SOMEONE ELSE HAD WRITTEN IN THIS FORUM ASKING FOR LIST OF CHARGES, STAING THAT IF WE DISAGREED ON FAIRNESS OF THESE CHARGES THEN THE OMBUDSMAN OR COURTS WOULD DECIDE THIS AND I WOULD BE HAPPY TO ACCEPT A FULL REFUND OF THESE CHARGES IN ORDER TO AVOID THIS!

Having gone bankrupt in 2006, we decided to try and see if were able to reclaim credit card charges post bankruptcy in february of this year. Just wanted to announce that today received 2 cheques for difference between £25 charges and £12 as recomended by oft. 1 for £416 and 1 for £390. 2 down 5 or 6 more to go
many thanks for the advice on this site. will repost if have any more sucess.

after many months of passing the buck, Co-op Visa finally realised I meant business, and refunded £132 balance of charges.. they got our friends bryan carter & co involved when i went overdue, who were slapping on extra charges like it was going out of fashion.

agreed to split 50-50, due to accrued arrears (all paid off)..

    another case closed.

I had arrears on my account and still won. Give it a try you have nothing to gain if you don't try. Good luck
