Hiya,
Natwest
Claimed: £112.
Paid out £112!!:j
The story: Sent first letter requesting charges 10/08/09, recieved end Aug, sent 1st letter requesting all charges paid back 1/09/09, recieved a letter offering £8.00 (the difference) on 03/09/09. 2nd letter requesting full amount sent on 22/09/09, recieved a very nice letter today apologising that hadn't been able to resolve and offering full amount!!!!
Thanks guys. especially natweststaffmember, didn't know that i could claim the £12 back, and probably would have just not bothered if you hadn't told me that i could. Not a huge amount, but will clear 1 debt (of my mums- it's her card!) so always worth it if it reduces the creditors!!!
Now off to chase the remaining 15(!!!!) creditors for my mum - hope they are all as easy. Big thanks again:T:TPay off as much as you can in 2011: £780/£8000Vouchers through surveys/shopandscan: £10/£250Ebay/Paypal target for 2011: £109/£10000 -

The story
I sent the letters from this site, after the 1st letter they declined. Than I sent the threat letter and they offered me £59 as they were saying all changes I had were fair. The £59 was made up from charges which were over the £12 limit they have now. I took this to the fininical Ombudsman and after 8 weeks appox my full amount requested was offered back by Capitalone.

While looking for other paperwork, I found an old Studio Cards statement from 2004 with a £12.94 administration charge on it for late payment. To be honest I couldn't remember ever having been charged anything and I had paid my account off in late 2004 and so had forgotten I had even had studio account. I set about finding the other statements and found a total of 4 x £12.95 charges on there and thought I might as well give it a go......

Amount paid £1412.02
All it took was one letter asking for every £12 and £20 charge.so all in all cost of a stamp and waiting the two weeks:beer:.Mind you they credited the account which only has a limit of £260 and they refused to send out a cheque for the diff, they told my husband to just lift it out and they obviously wouldnt charge for lifting it out, but the card only has a £100 cash withdrawal limit on it and they promised to make the cash limit higher but no.So we had to use the card to buy shopping etc and use our cash from payday to clear other bills that you cant use a card for.we did complain but sure we got what we set out for in the end:D0 -
