    requested £547 plus interest £83.98
    recieved £1145.82

this was in 3 payments, first £104 goodwill, then £96 goodwill, then £945.82 after threatening court if no better response re charges.
this is all charges refunded for the past 6 years with 8% interest and was issued with a final response letter to another issue i have with them.

i got no idea how there is such a differance in what they say was charges and what i asked for, but im not asking :rotfl:

    Natwest credit card
    Amount requested £520
    Amount received £574.56

Sent 1st letter requesting charges 17/2/09
Had back list 26/2 and then sent them letter requesting they refund £520 charges (including all £12 and £20 charges)
They replied by offering £146.88 being the difference between the £20 i was charged and the £12 they believe was fair, they also added interest. They stated that £12 was seen as a fair charge blah blah
Having read all the comments on this website about success it gave me the confidence to persevere (MANY THANKS EVERYONE)

6/4/09 i replied rejecting their offer and stating that i still wanted the £520

This week got a letter stating that they are willing to offer me £574.56 (what i wanted + interest) which I have happily accepted

Many thanks to everyone as i would not have done this on my own
All the letters i used were templates from this website

I am still in the process challenging Citi and Capital One but they are both very very slow

Had a egg credit card from 2004-2006 put a claim in on the 16/03/09 for overlimit charges totaling £160. Sent the first stage letter had the usall fobbing of response that as far as they were concernd all the charges were fair and i would not recive anything..

Sent the more millitant second stage letter then had a responce saying they were willing to refund me £32!! then i sent the 3rd letter rejecting there offer and threatend if they did not pay out in full i would take my case to the county court also bring much unwanted media attention to there exploits!

Just had a letter today offering to pay the full £160 plus £43 in interest!!
Just goes to show if you persistant and do not back dwn victory can be within your grasp!! ... im also chasing them for the PPI i had on the credit card they are being more resistant with that claiming when application was filled out online the PPI box was NOT pre ticked so have refused to pay out.. The FOS are now dealing with that and i am very confident of a second victory!

Next target Barclays!! and good luck to every one out there and many thanks for all the advice and recomendations i have recived from every one on the site!!
