I have received letters back today from Cap 1 and aqua both saying no to refunding any fees as they believe them to be fair...etc. I am now sending further letters stating they have 14 days to change their minds and reimburse me or I will take them to court - or ombudsman. Has any1 had any succssess from these companies after sending a 2nd letter or going to ombudsman ? Any advice greatly appreciated! Thanks0

Argos card services all £12 charges refunded after letter send threatening court as their initial response said the charges complied with guidelines set. Total refund £600 and it only took 2 weeks0

Hi
Have you had anything back from your letter to the FOS. I had the same letter back from the FOS about six weeks ago and have not had any other response.
I decided to send them an email this morning asking for an update.

I sent a claim to Aqua yesterday for charges, but I don't expect to hear anything back from them.
The last letter I sent them was sent in March and has still not been replied to. The problem with Aqua is that their letters are all held by the post office until collected, hence they often claim they havent recieved them, so if anyone is sending things to Aqua you should always send recorded so you can track them. I have complained to Aqua about this and also told them if they dont provide me with adequate respose I will seek advice from the ICO as they are breaching data protection by leaving letters containing personal information in the post office for months on end... my letter sent in March is apparently still at the post office awaiting collection!!
If anyone hears anything back from Aqua I would love to hear your outcomes, and I will post if I get anywhere too!0 -
Hi Yes Aqua are awful for this so I wrote to ombudsman and they have responded asking for copies of all paperwork etc and they wrote to me again saying that it will take upto 8 weeks to get the issue resolved. I really dont know whether I will get any fees refunded as they are all £12 ones, but its got to be worth a go, I have gone through many forum pages on here to see what success others have had when claiming back credit card fees but through the ombudsman but cannot find much on it. So if anyone has any experoences of this - good or bad I would really appreciate it - thanks. I have still not heard from cap 1 either so will probably go to ombudsman again but thought I would see how aqua pans out 1st. Keep me posted - thanks0

Hi there, i'm new to this site i have been reading up on how many people have been reclaiming bank and credit card charges. i have sent a letter off for my bank charges with Lloyds TSB using the template. my question is a i have 4 credit cards and would like to claim back my charges there, is the template i use once i get a list of my charges the same as the one i used for my bank account or is there a different template on the credit cards? Any help of tips would be greatly appreciated thanks0

Hello,
Im new to this site, reading all stories about successful claims to all the credit card charges makes me inspired to do it as well.
I just want to ask it is possible to claim the interest charges as well. I've been with Payplan for almost 7 years now and this is my last month to pay off all my debt. And one of my creditor was Barclaycard, the amount of interest that i receiving every month is quite high for example Payplan paid £73.45 but the interest was £20.20. But the first year with payplan i didn't receive any interest from barclaycard. It is nice if I will claim this interest charges as well . It will gonna make a big difference for me in this time of difficulty.
Please give me some advise....
