  • The recovery wagon came, but wasn't able to start it to manouver it onto the back of the low loader - DUH, I could have told them that!

So it's still sat in the drive - they have brought mean 07 207 estate car, nice but ONLY 5 SEATS!

  • Doh!!!!!!!!!!!!

    *speachless* :silenced:

I REALLY don't know what to say! Apart from give the car back an have your money back! You have given them plenty of time under the Trade Descriptions Act to recifty the car... :wall:
  • I have a feeling that this latest problem was something simple, and will be sorted out today. I've been to toddlers this morning and they collected the car while I was away. I think it'll be brought back to me either this afternoon or tomorrow, and they will hope that's the last of the matter.

My DH has already been sourcing out garages for us to go look at getting shut of it at the weekend. Due to losing this family, I cannot afford to put any more money towards another car.

I am So brassed off.............what is the chance of them taking the car back off me?!

  Think it is definitely time to cut your losses and run, seems to be one thing after another.

Have you considered a Ford Galaxy or Vauxhall Zafira instead of French rubbish.
  • Zafira is not suitable, as the boot wont take the sorts of buggies I have. Sometimes I need a single, other times I need a double. We also use the car at weekends and the back seats are not suitable for my long legged kids!!

I've never liked the Galaxy/Sharan/Alhambra. And I refuse to have a car I don't like! It has to be a love affair with me, the full works!

Dh has been looking at the Honda FRV - 6 seats but massive boot, and the Mercedes Vaneo.

Can thoroughly recommend a Honda I have had one from new, the most reliable car I have ever had.:j

Mercs are OK but expensive for service.
  • I'd tell the garage. no, INSIST the garage give you a full refund. Tell them taht you've been very laid back about the waiting around and how important the car is for you job! Stir it. lots!
  • Oh Harvey I have done! I was even in tears the other day after the family gave me notice. The have now found the bad earth and had sorted it. They could have brought the car back to me yesterday, but wanted to check it over again this morning, so I'm now just awaiting a phone call saying they will be bringing in back.
  • My god! This goes on! I'd still have a good moan.

Use the words "Trading" and "Standards" a few times etc etc...

Then quote the Sale Of Goods Act to them. They should know it!

Anyway, I look forward to logging in tomorrow nite lol
  • The car is back. It 'appears' to be fine.
I used it last night but the decision has been made - It's definately going.
My DD2 works for Honda and rang the PUG garage yesterday asking if they'd buy it back off me. The chance of a full refund is not an option I don't think.
She explained that as a gesture of goodwill, they should offer me a fair price. HHm, they said they will get back to her. I wouldnt hold your breath!

I will be taking the car around on Sat/Sun to see if a deal can be struck on something suitable. I can't afford to put more cash into it.

    Thanks for caring x
