Probably not been touched, but nearly everthing else will have been replaced by now.:D
  • aye! But to whose cost tho...?!
  • Hey hey slow down you lot!!

Give a girl a break! Crossing seeming,y hundreds of time zones and being stuck on a plane for god knows how long plays havoc with my body clock!

Ok....................You ready or shall I give you all time to calm down.

When I went away on holiday, the car was still making a strange noise despite a new turbo and belts fitted. The FAP filter has been replaced.

The boss of the garage noticed that the car made this noise as it was started first thing in the morning being moved around to get access to other cars etc, so he took the keys home one night so it couldnt be moved. The following morning, he asked a mechanic to start the car, while he had his head under the bonnet. It made this noise which he thinks was something to do with the cam shaft.

He got the warrenty people back again, and they stood round my car discussing it. The decided to put in a new engine.

This was done under warrenty last friday, despite it actually running out on Oct19th. They have had so much involvement with it that there was no way that the warrenty company could have washed their hands with it.

So........It's had a new engine including injectors. Please be aware that I AM female, and do not fully understand the ins and outs of cars. So if this sounds far fetched........who knows.

All I know is that I 'should' get the car back this week sometime, and the engine has a 12 month warrenty. I also will have to inform swansea about the new engine number.

I'm still tempted to get rid of it, but DH thinks it'll be like a new car now.

    Hey I was right.:rotfl:

Welcome back, hope you had a good holiday, as you can see we have all been worried sick in case you had funny engine noises on the plane.:D

Should be fixed now, but just in case we will still await the final verdict.
