There's confusion here (for me anyway) between which filter is being talked about.
The Diesel filter removes muck from the fuel going into the engine. The particulate filter removes muck (particulates[soot]) from the exhaust coming out of the engine.
The OP needs to clarify with the dealer which they mean and which one they changed/cleaned.0 -
I'm referring to the FAP (particulate filter)
We remove it and steam clean it for about 10 minutes to remove the soot.
Top the additive up and job done.
Most places will want to replace the FAP with a new one or an exchange unit, which is available thru Pug dealers.
But it's all costly. So steam cleaning is our answer...!0 -

Update - well, no update really. They have had the car since monday morning, and there's been no call from them as to how it is going. I'm a childminder, and need 7 seats. They've lent me a 207, which is a nightmare.
I'm using one of DH's cars, just so I can get 3 car seats in.
Dh is calling them at lunchtime to see what's occurring.
With regard to the filters, I only know about the deisel filter, as that's the one with the message coming up constantly.
Thanks for your help guys.

Yes, it will put up that message.
Tell them that they shoud remove the FAP filter and steam clean it or pressure wash it. And to find out which colour additive to use to top it up.

Another update - They are fitting a new TURBO today. They put it on the diagnostic machine and it showed an intermittent fault.
I 'should' get it back tomorrow, but am off on holiday for 3 weeks on thursday. The car is also out of warrenty while I'm away.
I hope that it's ok.

A NEW TURBO...?! !!!!!! for?!
I'd be telling them what I put in my previous post hun! Please!
Also, who is paying for a new turbo?
The turbo will show up as an intermittant fault when the "unblock deisel filter" message comes on - as the car goes into what is called "limp mode" - reducing the perfoamance.0 -
So, did you get it back today then...?!
What's the latest?0 -
Getting it back today, all being well.
I'm a childminder and it's been a nightmare juggling car seats and kiddes.
When we get home from holiday, we're selling it.
It will have full service history, recent service and full MOT.
My friend also has an 807, and hers went in for an intermediate service yesterday. They want £900 off her, which is £200 less than their original quote for work needed.
I'd rather swap for a bike than keep mine.
