hi I am on training at that moment and just had an email saying 'I'm doing great' and will be receiving some stamps soon. they said I will be receiving larger items soon and if I haven't opted out of posting cubes, I will be receiving some. how do I opt out of cubes? am i allowed to or will they take me off the panel? trying to avoid going into the post office( and shops) as much as possible and wondering how I go about this?
    thanks
Yes you just need to send them a message via the website - I asked myself for parcels for me to post to be stopped temporarily due to covid and my husband being high risk.  I'm trying to keep visits to shops to the absolute minimum.  They will be fine with that as they are trying hard to make it possible for panelists to still be able to post normal mail and receive items from other panelists

Thank you for this.  I will send them a message as well regarding sending parcels, as I don't want to be going to the PO un-necessarily, but I'm fine to receive parcels and send mail that goes in the post box.   How long does the training normally last please?  I received 2 letters today, that's a total of 4 and I've sent 4 myself (2 this week and 2 last week).

    Hi,

You’ve recorded your first sender item! But it looks like it wasn’t entered in a way that we’d get the posting location and time verified. When you’re recording your sender items

    1. Use the mobile app to record them (download in App Store and Google Play)
    2. Make sure you’re connected to the internet while posting your item
    3. Allow the app to access your location (see ‘How do I enable location access for the mobile app?’ entry in Help section)
    4. Record your sender items while you’re at (or within maximum 50 metre of) your posting location

Please note, most (if not all) your sender items must be recorded following the steps described; otherwise we may have to remove you from the survey. And remember: register all your items using the app correctly to keep your chances of winning in our Prize Draws!

If you have any questions, please send us a message.

    The Kantar Postal Panel Team

When you post items the night before (3 of the post boxes I use get emptied at 9am, so it makes sense to post it the night before).  Do you record it as posted on the day you actually posted it or the following day, which would be the day on your posting schedule?  Could it be that?

You record the date and time when you actually post it.
There’s something in either the survey guide or the FAQ explaining it. If you’re posting at night but logging it the following day, that’ll flag up as being incorrect.
If you’re regularly posting on the “wrong” day they might get a bit concerned at some point.

Yes, I've been recording the actual day and time I posted it, so if it's the night before at 8.30pm, that's what I've put.  3 items I've done like that and 1 I've posted on the actual day, as the collection time was 5.15pm.  All the postboxes are in my postcode area.
So I'm not sure what I could have done wrong.  For each one I've used the App (IOS). I've saved the postboxes as favourites for ease.

Did you record the posting whilst standing beside the post box. If not, I wonder if they didn't like it if you didn't use the app on you mobile phone to  record the posting whilst you were standing by the post box using mobile data. They want you to spend your money and use some of your data allowance on your smart phone to record the posting whilst outside. I don't know if they intend to make this a mandatory requirement for future panelists as I see they threaten  "we may have to remove you from the survey". As I record postings via my laptop when I get home perhaps I may get removed from the survey.

it,s all very well telling people to record posting ti es on their ohone app at the moment of posting but I. Rough areas this risks yiu having yiur ihone snatchedby A passing criminal and I refuse to put myself at risk I. This way. I. It's the time of posting and enter it as soon as I get home.
  • I'm lucky and don't live very far from a postbox so can do it at home.  It takes a minute to walk home after I've posted the letter and I'm sure logging it a minute late won't matter.

Are you using the app when you are at the post box and have you got it set up to track your location? That's the only other thing I can think of. I do  know they're picking up more on people logging to the correct minute so if you're doing it when you get home and putting the time to the nearest 5 minute interval, they'll be querying that.

  • I always record my posting times and locations at home on the website as I rarely use data for anything. To ensure my times are accurate I take a photo of the letter going into the post box which is time-stamped with the date and time.
I would be willing to use the app if we were reimbursed for using data, until then no.
