Mine decided that the bottom shelf of the side table is clearly for cats, not magazines. I gave up arguing as it appears even the little cat can cheerfully push off a stack of magazines weighing twice what she does.Debt free May 2016... DFW#2 in progress

Mine are the same Rosa, pointless fighting it.
That said OH has been making a shade cover for my raised cuttings bed, It is dual purpose in the sense that it will stop the cuttings from cooking in the sun, but also make the full sun sandy beach less attractive to my furry friends.
We have had a busy few days clearing and tidying. The wood pile from the dining room made it up into the new(ish) shed so for the first time in years there is space in the dining room. I promptly invested in a kitchen butchers block on wheels type cabinet to house my work stuff and printer which emptied the dining table. Huge improvement given that it is the room I mostly work in.My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Garden:
Planted the potatoes, better late than never
Planted the strawberries
Hoed off the new weed growth
Using up, aka can't cook weekend, hope it stops soon:
Dried fruit and fat to make a boiled fruit loaf. Did not turn out well, dry and crumbly. Should have just fed the fruit to the birds in the first place
Bacon and cheese into a potato/cream bake, potatoes stayed firm despite much time in low oven
And some solid bread.
Poor workman blames his tools and all that, but I suspect a problem with the main fan oven. Either the fan isn't spinning or the oven isn't getting up to temperature. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Fruit loaf + custard = pudding
I have an external oven thermometer - might be worth getting one so that you can check the temperature in the main oven.
Well done on the dining room - does this mean you'll be eating in there now?0 -

Nope, we have a second dining table in the snug for seated meals.

Our cat likes to sleep right in the middle of the settee and woe betide anyone who leaves a book or object in the way,we also bought him a snuggly furry bed a couple of years ago which he refused to use, fast forward to this year where we bought an almost indentical bed for the dog and the cat loves it the dog is not impressed that she is expected to share her shiny new bed with the cat :rotfl:Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1200
