What's the violet syrup for, sounds lovely?
Apparently you can add it to gin if you like the violet flavoured ones, but I don't drink spirits. I want to have a go at making chocolate covered violet creams with a crystallised violet on top. Mostly I've been sniffing it and smiling. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Just catching up.
All sounding good.
Well done on saying goodbye to a rotten tree. All your gardening stuff has me looking at mine (not actually doing) but acknowledging is a start...If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Ooo - thanks for the inspiration. I have a bottle I bought back in what Foxgloves would call 'the spendy years' to make Xmas cocktails and I had no idea how to use it up. It is an amazing resource :T. We've just escalated three claims to the ombudsman using it and it makes it so easy and simple :T. We would have found the process very intimidating otherwise. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

In the immortal words of Granny Weatherwax, 'I aten't ded'
Long gap without an update, just been busy with work and little to report.
Limited progress with anything much as short on time. Some garden successes as seeds germinate, and some favourite plants recover from the slash and burn clearance. Too busy to cook much, so a lot of freezer food or fast salads consumed depending on the weather.
I have not bought anything for me since the boots, which is good. Had some credit on Bulb as a friend kindly signed up via my referral. Still waiting on my MSE cashback for my own transfer many months ago. Some tiny dribbles of cashback from Q but any 'free' money is good.My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Well done on managing salads as well as freezer stuff. Sounds as if you're eating properly at least (unless you're just feeding other people ...)0
