  • Thanks Rosa, it would work better upstairs I think especially as the dogs aren't allowed up. I rarely hoover up there either. Will keep an eye out. Which one do you have?

I have a Eufy Robovac - ordered from 4mazon as needed it in a hurry, but iirc there are some cheaper ones elsewhere that also get good reviews.

  • Thanks, I'll have a look

My best offer email today was £500 off a £10k spend on a diamond necklace. Tempting (obviously) but no

Another day done, nearly Friday - where is the time going? SA posted about her plans over the next few weeks to Christmas which made me realise how close it is. Time to stop ignoring it so I got advent calendars, something for a boy to give to OH and some sheepskin mule slippers for a boy to give to me. It's a start at least.

Well done for resisting the necklace. I've just been through my emails while setting up my new phone and unsubscribed from yet more junk.

I had to set the new phone up as the old one was having a tantrum about charging. I'd forgotten how tedious it is having to log back in to all the apps, but I'm using it as an opportunity to change some passwords. Not all of them obviously, just the ones I've forgotten :D

I was going to suggest that the boys do their own Christmas shopping, but then that would risk you getting stuff you didn't want...

What like something from the village hardware shop or the co-op? They hate shopping even more than I do.

I always buy my own presents, then OH pretends he got them for them. It stems back to the no cash days when I resented £10 we hadn't got being spent on something I didn't like.

I do that :rotfl:. Like you I can't bear money going on something I don't like so I usually buy myself something I really want for DH to give me :rotfl:. DS1 asks me what I want, DS3 usually gets me chocs and DS2 knows I like books :).

It's great that you've made a start on the Christmas shopping :T.

  • I love the idea but we are on the side of a hill and there is a level change between most rooms so I'm not sure it would work. Do they cope ok with long hair? It's the dogs obviously, my little darlings levitate around containing their own mess ina cloud of purring.

    Who am I kidding?

Today they have fought over boiler space, refused to sleep on new microwave, played with a ping pong ball in the microwave box, left a hairball on the rug (rather than next to it on the tiles) and knocked a pile of important paperwork off the table whilst playing a particularly complicated game of cat chess. Mrs fat pants knocked a key off the work laptop, which luckily snapped back on.

Mr fluffy is purring like a loon, and generally radiating unbearable levels of cuteness. It's all the dogs fault clearly.

Why do cats do that, our cat likes to vomit very so often and he always manages to do it on a carpet or other soft furnishings,he will run out of the kitchen with a washable floor into the hall which has carpet,if he is on the carpet runner that is washable he will move onto the carpet  it drives me nuts

On offer today as well, cheapest it drops too says the price tracker so I am very tempted.

    Always
  • For me it's been totally worth it in sanity saving - I figured it probably works out at least as cheap as having someone in to clean for a few months and was less hassle to organise.
