I love the idea but we are on the side of a hill and there is a level change between most rooms so I'm not sure it would work. Do they cope ok with long hair? It's the dogs obviously, my little darlings levitate around containing their own mess ina cloud of purring.
Who am I kidding?
Today they have fought over boiler space, refused to sleep on new microwave, played with a ping pong ball in the microwave box, left a hairball on the rug (rather than next to it on the tiles) and knocked a pile of important paperwork off the table whilst playing a particularly complicated game of cat chess. Mrs fat pants knocked a key off the work laptop, which luckily snapped back on.
Mr fluffy is purring like a loon, and generally radiating unbearable levels of cuteness. It's all the dogs fault clearly. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Just what I was thinking!:rotfl:
I think one clear, uncluttered room would be beneficial to you as well.

It manages mid length cat hair as well as long human hair in this house. It's trained not to fall down stairs, so if there is a sizable step would probably just continue in the one room. So you might need to pop back and move it to the next room, but that's still faster and much less effort than getting a proper hoover out, and the worst that would happen is it would keep on going in the same room til it ran out of juice. I think mine does about 90 minutes in total, so I usually just leave it doing a floor while I do something else and listen in case it beeps for help (I occasionally have to rescue it from the doormat or getting stuck under the lip of the litter tray).Debt free May 2016... Thanks Rosa, it would work better upstairs I think especially as the dogs aren't allowed up. I rarely hoover up there either. Will keep an eye out. Which one do you have?
Greenbee, I could see my fellow residents spending time and money programming an overly complicated guidance system
HHOD yes I bet we have floppy discs too
Seaside our bedroom is probably the clearest room, tends to be piles of books if anything. All of the cats drape themselves on any available space, so there is usually at least one on the bed.
I've spent most of today in the car, 40 miles took 2.5 hours on the way back. Out again tomorrow, ground hog day on the m way.
Evil ex stray is th3 latest injury, bitten ear and scratched nose. Have cleaned it and will keep an eye on her. I do not want to feed her tablets, she is rude and ungrateful at the best of times.
My monthly saver matures tomorrow, a whole 2%. Better than than nothing I suppose. I shifted the emergency fund as the 'bonus' rate ends shortly so at least that is sorted.
Need to look at house insurance renewal, book MOT, chase oven repair and query the VAT issue on the business.
I'm glad I unsubscribed from all the promotion emails, even the odd one I am getting inspires a false need. It's not a bargain if I don't actually need it.

Sorry to hear you're having to spend so much time in the car
Why is there always so much paperwork and admin to do? I have phone calls to make, tax return to do and electricity contract to sort out... and really CBA. Back to work tomorrow after 3 days off.
Glad to hear the reduced email load is reducing the need to spend. I really should get on with christmas - I was thinking recycled cashmere wrist warmers or fingerless gloves for everyone....0 -
