Another NSD
taking me to 9. Went for a run yesterday so doing well on the exercise front
Today I'm grateful for earning a bit of extra cash, getting some sun walking between jobs, being almost finished my qualification (which will mean a pay rise), an insightful conversation with one of the ladies I work with and the prospect of 3 days off work.

Hello,
fingers crossed for the move raphael.
Today and tomorrow won't be an SFD as I need a few bits tonight and will go to Lidl tomorrow. Will get some missing ingredients to bake sth simple. DS (6) has been asking for a while now and yesterday he watched the kids bake off on the iPad and asked again if he could learn to bake himself (only helped me a couple of times). He started P2 today and they even got a piper as it was the official opening of the new school building. They always make me cry though. Finally no more lunches to make in the morning as he'll get school dinners again. 10 min more sleep
Gym today and salad for lunch.
Will also do a bit more research into extensions etc today and get some guide prices. I'm definitely getting more and more convinced we'd be better making this house the way we want for less money than moving and we'll add a fair bit of value/space (at least match the neighbours if not a bit more) which could come in handy later.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Sorry for lack of posts but not a lot happening. Two NSDs but not yesterday. Was doing an order to be delivered to mum's but then decided it would be easier to go to the supermarket and get a taxi to mum's from there. 'Small' shop for each of us - my 3 bags cost £16, her bag cost £22 - difference in buying brands and ready made.
Did not sleep at all Wednesday night so did well to get through yesterday. Still very tired but the vitamin D tablets are helping a little.
Now at home for 3 days (lots to do) as someone else will be with mum today and tomorrow. Just keep hoping I can continue to look after mum and then find some time for 'me' - although I have been so tired on 2 days that I did only 'leisure' things when I got home (one day I just went to sleep).
No hidden sacks of energy lying around so will keep plodding and chipping away at various tasks.
I am grateful for taxis, for being able to plant some of mum's potato 'sprouts' and about 2/3 of the strawberry runners (limited by length of time I can spend kneeling down), for simple one-stop shopping (sometimes), for getting into a routine with mum, for ys treats, for helpful taxi drivers, for seeing best buddy (and managing to put off his request to be a volunteer for the charity he wants to set up), for my impressive reading skills (amazed best buddy), for being able to put my feet up and rest on mum's couch, for gentle entertainment on tv at mum's, for gripping Aussie cop drama at home.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -

Oh, can you still plant potatoes now? Will they be ready this year or are they for next spring? Might remember that for next year.

thrifty - it was mum's usual 'Oh these potatoes have sprouted, let's throw them in the garden' They have been sitting on the garden table for several weeks - had to throw some away as they were starting to deliquesce. I had to clear away the shrub that was taking up too much room first. It's very much a 'wait and see' but mum has had soectacular results in the past.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0

Yesterday was a NSD but today wasn't. £3.20 spent on chippy lunch as I woke up late and didn't have time to make lunch. I suppose every cloud has its silver lining though - this is the first time I've forgot/not had time to bring/make lunch. Usually I'm much worse, a bit disappointed that I wasn't organised though.
Gratitudes
1) the weekend
2) sunshine again today
3) finishing all my work today! That felt good!February Grocery Budget: £190.75/£350.00

Evening all. Haven't had much to post the last few days hence the absence.
Yesterday wasn't a NSD, forgot to take dinner out of the freezer so ended up ordering pizza. It came out of my weekly unallocated money so it was a massive treat - literally can't remember the last time I ordered pizza!
Today wasn't a NSD either, I decided to order some vegan cheese and chocolate to see what it was like. Also had to pay for parking outside the chiropractor.
Tomorrow I'm going to a friend's house so will get the train rather than drive as it's quicker. Sunday I'm volunteering then riding, and am going to treat myself to lunch while I'm out. Again out of my weekly unallocated money.
I've spent the last few days going over the budget for the next few months. Thought I'd have to drop out of my 365 challenge for the year given the upcoming costs of chiropractor and also repaying the credit card, but I worked out I should be able to carry on. I'm really determined to do it as it's the first time I've ever been part of a savings challenge rather than a debt free one, and I'd be gutted not to complete it! So I'm just going to have to be super tight the next few months!
I've had my student loan confirmed as well this week, so everything is moving forwards in that respect. I spoke to the uni and they say I have to pay the full fees up front regardless of the fact that I've got the loan. I wasn't impressed at all as I did some research and usually most universities are quite flexible with it if you have the loan in place, but not my one! So now I've had to apply for a credit card to pay upfront... Not happy at all but luckily I've been accepted for a 0% purchase one. At least it'll all be paid off by the time the 2nd instalment of the loan comes through.
Gym tonight then home for tv and my chiro exercises. Happy weekend everyone!0 -
Evening all,
SFD today so think I'm up to 8 (?).
I've not had a good 24 hours mentally and I'm feeling really gloomy. I've been feeling mentally exhausted (even though I'm on my summer holiday). I met up with some friends yesterday and felt really pressurised by some of the conversation about my lack of dating and ended up crying and it ruined my evening and I've been feeling low all day. I haven't spoken to any of those friends today either so now it's just super awkward and I'm not sure I'd want to go out again with them.LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Hi everyone :hello:
Apologies for my silence but I have been away on hols and in spite of my best intentions to be on here and catching up it wasn't to be as I never had any wifi and the 3/4G was unreliable at best. I have had a lovely few days away in spite of the kids constantly bickering, and in spite of the holiday people forgetting to book the most important (to me) part of the break which was a full day trip around the Lake District. I won't bore you with the full story but I feel very let down by them. Good job I had 4 days in a lodge with a hot tub to recover.
Of course, in spite of best intentions I haven't managed not to spend and my nsd total is not further on. NSD's won't be a choice very soon but a necessity unfortunately. At least the holiday is done and most of the school stuff is bought and paid for.
LCC - sorry to read about piggy. Hope that you're ok
Raph - fingers crossed for the house move
Fmess - with friends like that eh? I'm sorry that they've made you feel so bad. Easier said than done I know but ride it through while you're feeling rubbish and do whatever little things will make you feel better (long bath, dvd, early night etc?)
I could post hundreds of gratitudes for the past week but again, won't bore you. Here are some:
Decent weather
Staff at Windermere tourist office
Holiday
Time in a hot tub
My cleaner (who came while we were away)
A break from everyday stuff...
Normal service will resume tomorrow. Exam marking to finish and report to write. Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control
