Anyone else having trouble getting onto the website?0

Hey folks. I've started a new thread called "Eversmart saying my deal isn't fixed".
To summarise: my switch to Eversmart has been going very badly and because of this I queried when my fixed price deal would actually start. They said it's not fixed.
If you have a deal which is called Welcome Home and your Welcome Pack quotes a date for "Tariff ends on..." and "Price guaranteed until ...." then you need to be aware that Eversmart are claiming that this is NOT a Fixed price tariff.
Please have a read at that other thread. I am interested in how many people are in the same boat as me.0 -

As I mentioned in your other thread, the tariff you are on ("Welcome Home") is a fixed rate tariff (afaik), and you have confirmed you have not been advised of any price increase. :cool:0 -

Sorry but I don't seem to be getting through to you.
Eversmart are telling me and presumably everyone who believes themselves to be on a Welcome Home Fixed Price tariff, that this is a variable price tariff.
It doesn't matter whether or not they have announced a price increase or whether you think it is a fixed rate - Eversmart are saying that it isn't.
Do you understand what I'm saying?:)0 -

Not really.
Perhaps some minimum wage phone call taker or email respondent has made a simple error. We are all human, and we can all make mistakes.
I'm not sure that warrants 2 separate threads on the go about this.
Unless you get a price change notification, I wouldn't loose any sleep over it if I were you.
As I said, all the information I have suggests that the Eversmart Welcome Home tariff (no longer available to new applicants) is a fixed rate tariff.
And you, nor anyone else on this tariff, seems to have been told of any price change - that also accords with my information, but then I would not ordinarily expect a price change of a fixed rate tariff0 -

OK, I'll stop replying on this thread and concentrate on the other one.
"Perhaps some minimum wage phone call taker or email respondent has made a simple error." - I have been told this by their complaints team.
I'm not losing any sleep really - just trying to sort this out now rather than later.
OK, now over to that other thread.

Ohhh interesting development on their website. They've given it a face-lift and mentioned the introduction of a "Family Saver Club".
If you pay your estimated yearly cost upfront they will credit your account with 1% "interest" each month. Think this is quite a clever example of combining bills with savings. Basically think of it as a bank account which earns interest and reduces the balance as you use energy. Will be earning between 6-12% over the year which ain't bad!
The link on their website is currently showing "Error" when its clicked. Also not sure what financial protections are in place if they go bust (possible considering how low their elec + gas rate are). And would tax be liable on "interest" payments? Will wait and see if they say more on it. Nice innovation though!0 -
I wouldn't stick too much of your money there in the hope of getting interest for savings. If these small gas/electric businesses go bust, you'd probably lose the money, (or have a massive headache trying to get it back from the administrators), as these companies dont have the normal FCSC protection. Not bad for the odd couple of hundreds, and to be honest there is little informatino about this 12% interest or 1% monthly interest. Nice innovation, but i'd proceed with caution. Plus it is only available on their newer family saver tariff which is available now (so you'd have to switch again....and yes its variable.)0

I’ve been very happy with Eversmart in the short time since I switched. They’ve been slow at doing anything with my request for a Smartmeter fitting, but I’m fairly happy to wait for that.
They emailed me today with the offer for the new Family Saver. I’ll have a look at it and get a quote to see how it looks for shaving a bit more from my electricity bill.
